Togashi has to have either a room of writers or multiple personalities. it blows my mind how complex & intricate he’s made this story. He somehow makes everything connect.
The idea of getting 20 chapters and potentially seeing the end of this arc is too hype for me personally. I did the math and that means Chapter 420 would release in February or March 2025. I just hope we get to see what the next arc will be after this one because i'm so curious to know what happens next
I just finished watching HxH, read the content afterwards, and now reading what the anime covered...i am currently in the ending act for chimera ant arc. I am also rewatching the anime. It's been a fun experience. It's so nice to see more chapters are coming.
Honestly, this arc will be amazing when it one day gets animated. Having the 2011 announcer (or similar), the music and ambiance, voice acting of the 2011 series’ caliber- It’ll make this a classic
I heard that togashi is using gon on the cover as a kind of tribute foe akira toriyama, toriyama passed away this year, the orange 38 on gons jacket is to represent the main color of dragonball, gons pose on the cover is reminiscent to kid gokus punch, though that's a guess from what I've heard on X
@@jharmley6882 it would make sense for togashi do make a tribute like that, after all he made lots of his characters, villains specifically based off of toriyamas characters, togoro and meruem were based off of frieza and cell respectively
Guys, you have no idea how different this comeback is. I follow a japanese guy that said that he has a friend that is one of Togashi's assistants, and he said that his friend told him that Togashi's and Shonen jump strategy this time is to be published for 30 chapters in a row, and finish the Succession war arc, and make a new season of the anime adaptation of this arc. Basically this time Togashi will push himself until chapter 430 and just then take another break. And this break after 430 will be a long one, cause after that, this arc will be finished and a new animation will be in production, so Togashi will feel more comfortable to take a long break. The volume 38 being Gon even though he is not in the story is just Togashi being Togashi, in some volumes of the Greed island arc, we have Kurapika and Leorio, and they are not in that arc, so this is normal for Togashi. This return will be legendary.

I find it concerning that all the royalty aren't even on the Blackwhale. They are on a yacht that sits within a pool on top of the Blackwhale. Prehaps it was the plan of the king to sink the Blackwhale, letting the royalty sail off Scottfree.
My hope for the Hunter x Hunter release schedule would be a tag-team release schedule with One Piece. Every week we receive either a One Piece or Hunter x Hunter chapter. This would allow both mangakas to take the breaks they need while keeping the size of each edition of Weekly Shonen Jump consistent. Every 4 weeks, we'd get 3 chapters of One Piece and 1 chapter of Hunter x Hunter.
we already know that and its the most plain and obvious shit ever: the sense of being unite as humans eating and drinking together in a long ass table after beating some bad dude. the end.
There is also the game coming out soon, they probably wanted to time the manga's return with the game's launch. As far as I could tell there is still no date for that, but it's supposed to be out this year.
I'm still amazed by people who really think that the Successon War arc can end in only a couple of ten chapters. With this amount of characters, storylines, mysteries, set up's and the sheer scope of the setting, I can't see it end sooner than chapter 500, but knowing Togashi, this can very easily go up until 550 Which personally I'm pretty okay with, I love this "battle royal" set up, all the best characters are participating in different and intersting ways and it will very likely give us the end of the Kurapica-Spider storyline, which deserves all the attention and chapters!
@@666Impulsive subversion doesn't mean good writing and Togashi definitely knows this. I don't think he will waste all this set up for shock value. It also wouldn't make sense if he did it to end this manga quickly. He wants to draw and write this story, that is why he continues drawing it.
I'll never get why authors WANT to make their finales disappointing... It's the last thing you'll do with the characters and story you've spent so long working on. Why not give it a final, magnificent send off? Something that you can look back on after decades and say "I'm glad I did it right". The only thing I can imagine is that an authour resents the story and characters after being "forced" to write it for years, and wants to end it on a bitter note because that's the only way they can imagine it going. I hope that this isn't happening with Togashi, and that he's in a good headspace when the time comes to wrap things up.
Even worse is when they retcon their ending to be shite, like Chrono Trigger. That game has a happy ending with everyone happy, then the sequel comes and everyone died like 5 years later with the hero being killed by the joke mid boss...
God deciding how you feel about togashi finishing the series on his terms, IMO, almost entirely depends on two factors. 1. How you feel about the series *continuing* after the world tree scene with ging and gon. Whether or not that was the series original ending concept. 2. Your sympathy towards him not wanting his assistants to draw art for the manga. If he extended the series on a creative impulse/drive- knowing he wouldn’t physically be able to finish it hypothetically. Like, God, that is a tough pill to swallow as a fan.
For number 1 i would find it very hard to be a fan of this series and not want to see the universe and power system expanded as it has from the "world tree ending". Seeing the chrollo hisoka fight and the crazy nen abilities aboard the black whale has made me even more obsessed about what might happen.
While I kinda understand him not wanting an assistant to draw the manga, it's also kinda frustrating. It's not like he owes us anything but it just makes sense for him to do it. It's less work for him and it's not like people watch hxh for the art. A downgrade or art style switch won't turn fans away. They're reading the manga for the story he has put together.
It’s his work he can do whatever he wants with it. I respect the fact that he doesn’t want help with the art, it shows how much he loves hxh. It sucks for us but i bear no ill will towards him
It's probably unlikely but I hope Togashi finally accepted some help and they've been working on content this entire time. We might actually get some sort of true progress in this arc.
I think a full series arc-by-arc recap, or recap of recent events is going to be needed before September. Re-reading the chapters and having a pulse on what everyone is thinking of are two different things for me.

i have been liking every post on Togashi's twitter and praying to whatever is up in the big sky that he doesnt go like Toriyama. He said his back has been bothering him and feel bad that i care about the manga being finish so badly. Makes me feel guilty but i just want him to be healthy and finish this story. He deserves to have his good ending seeing what happened to Yu Yu Hakusho. (My personal top 5 anime btw) wasnt the ending he wanted.

I love seeing these and can’t help but wonder just how many there are, especially after this video employed ones for Gary Oak, Deku, and various other shonen jump characters that have nothing to do with hunter x hunter.

i ve read a thread where people think togachi is the same guy behind jujutsu kaisen . jujutsu started right after hunter stoped , the mangaka for jujutsu hides his real identity and uses a cat with one eye as a profile picture in twiter , just like togachi uses a dog , both mangas had really bad art in the beginning very similar to togachi style . story telling is similar , both dont focus on one single character and the list goes on .
this is definitely a bit of a random side question (I'm new to the hxh stuff), if the manga returns early october does that mean there would be a rise in popularity again in Japan ? I visit Japan in October, I'm just kinda curious if it means I might be able to find more hxh items if it's considered relevant again. Sorry if it's a stupid question.
Re: JJK there’s a ton of loose ends floating around, and there was just a big reveal that wasn’t really explained so while there’s a bunch of hype atm due to story events, it also feels flat, especially with the knowledge that there’s no final arc coming to make sense of everything. It’s just gonna end.

I only started JJK this year after Lobotomy Kaisen infected my timeline but I think I was strangely blessed because it’s a hell of a series to enjoy as a shitpost but I would be so dispirited if I’d been following this as a genuine fan

the tweets are of pages where foreground characters have been inked. I believe the downstream work from there involves little hands on involvement from Togashi himself. One wonders if inking characters on 420 by 401 publish date will allow enough time for 411-420 to complete production within 10 weeks

I just finished reading the manga. This is wonderful news and I hope Togashi is able to carry the story forward to where he wants and also able to finish it. Let's hope so, at least. What Togashi needs it to turn HxH into a Korean Manhwa scheduling type of deal. meaning most of the work is done in advanced, and most importantly, it has SEASONS so the author can rest between them (or work on the enxt one but yk, just make the time between seasons longer)

No hyperbole; I’ve ignored every other video on this channel, but Gon being the focus of the thumbnail for whatever reason got me to click on it
when i search volume 38 on google, links show that its release date is now sept 4th 2024... is this true or is the October date mentioned still the offical date?
I love a good ending and find them to be almost a necessity for a series to be considered great by me but HxH is one of these exceptions. It could never end and I would be perfectly happy with it. Each arc being as tight as they are probably has a lot to do with this.
