Would you rather no game? I'm sure this is the only way they could make the game financially viable. The developers are doing it for the money and they have smart people doing market research searching for the best way to squeeze every last penny out of the project.
"Would I rather have no game?": Personally I wouldn't mind having a HXH game, but I'm not so obsessed and crazed to accept anything HXH. Here's the reality, you can sink millions in a product and it could still turn out bad. It's about the creative aspect that the core gameplay can offer. We still don't know the price of this game, but combined with the bad first impression the game made, along with being a rehashed MVC3 doesn't make someone like me want to invest in a product like this.
I do think this game is a lot like MVC and TVC but I also think it does some cool Hunter things like Emperor time activating on the phantom troupe members I think there could be a lot that we haven’t seen that could make it stand out as it’s own thing more
Those are character related mechanics, but are there any universal core systems that make it stand out as it's own thing? With how much footage is already out for the game, probably not.
Nice video my problem too other than it’s a clone with seemingly nothing original is that modern fighting games have a standard that being you need a single player content and good online I highly doubt this game will have either. Also monetization will they sell costumes for ridiculous Amounts? There’s is a lot going against this game it likely won’t overcome.
Yeah, not sure if the game will have single player content (at least at launch), and I'm not sure if they even confirmed rollback, but all we can do is wait.
