Watch closely, that's the closest we humans actually are. Our bodies, minds and social behavior are made to live like them. There is no obesity, no cardiovascular disease and no diabetes in these tribes. Life in the community between old and children is the most natural thing there could be for us humans. They respect nature and the animal world with respect and only take what they need. In many ways, they are much better people than we are in the western world. We have separated ourselves so far from our ancestors and our natural way of life. Many people would not survive a single day in the wild.
Growing up in Africa i wished to go to richer continents. Now im older i realise how lucky i am Im happiest when in Southern Africa. Daily lufe is a movie. Literally Yeah i cant always order pizza wherever i am or have a cappuccino but the nature snd drama makes it worthwhile all the time
I hate Southern africa. I hate this place, I can't wait to get out of it. All the religious people ruling, no disability rights, things that are illegal that definitely shouldn't be, corruption. I love the natural state of Southern Africa but the people? No not at all
I feel so blessed to have grown up in Angola...at the end of the world they used to call it. Rio Cubango, when I occasionally saw these people I would just be mesmerized ❤ I have always disliked having to leave there but carry their spirit with me till today...I am 70.
Wonderful documentary - the visual sequences were put together so well and showed how we all lived thousands of years ago. To hunt - and apologise to the animal - and to eat only what is needed to survive. The beauty and wisdom shines from all these peoples. Peace to all :)
language betrays prejudice. consider the difference between perception and reality. hunter-gatherers exist today, but are not described as modern. people who have powerful machines are described as modern and advanced. but, since the development of the steam engine, the human race has developed the longevity of a roman candle. our bright shiny “modern” lives are at risk like never before, but we look down upon people who could comfortably continue for another couple of million years if the machine people don’t cause a total environmental collapse. perception versus reality. ☮️ ❤ vote.
@@James-kv6kb i think i said a little more than that, but if that’s all you took away from it then i’m ok with it. sort of. our sun does have an expiration date. i do think we should be preparing to colonize other planets, but, if we don’t beat global warming, we’ll never get the chance. if we don’t learn how to live in peace with each other, we won’t beat global warming, and i believe that dissolving racism is one of the keys to peace. since war is the most global warming thing we do, it’s pretty important. i think throwing away the future out of prejudice against “primitive” lifestyles is the kind of stupidity that intergalactic legends are made of. it’s that prejudice that i was attacking. ☮️ ❤️ p.s. i also think we should stop acting like we’re better than other animals. it makes us planetary dicks. ☮️ ❤️
@@James-kv6kb sorry. you did engage with me, thou, and in an insulting manner. if you don’t have the attention span to deal with more than one sentence, you should look elsewhere. i suspect that you have no patience for anyone who doesn’t agree with everything you think. good luck with that. ☮️
The real Tuff community is Topnaar Community they use donkey Car, they dont Hunt which means they have more knowledge then others which is farming, quite good civilized community
Thank you 🙏🏻 They really like porcupine but they do hunt antelopes normally. However with a camera crew following them, it's hard to get close to bigger animals. Cheers 🎥😇
Class/caste or division of work & therefore someone's position in the society, existed and exists in every human group. Even if it's "just" by gender - in the hunter- gatherer groups women usually don't hunt because their task is to care for children. In the "settled" subSaharan societies, classes are - rulers (chief, king), religious/belief people (witchcraft etc), warriors/hunters (again, rarely female), musicians, commoners, etc. The Old Egypt civilisation had the slave-system too, even today Bantus are enslaving Pygmies etc. And Islam wasn't brought to Africa by Europeans.
Thank you so much for your comment 🙏🏻😇 We have Hindi subtitles on all our videos, including this one. Hopefully we'll do Hindi (and some other) dubbing in the future.
These H-Gs live in small clan/bands are as our ancestors did until just a few thousand years ago. There relationship to their natural/social environments defined our evolution and explain why we are "fish out of water", alienated from the natural world that selected our ancestors. Most importantly, perhaps, is their small numbers, defined by the sustenance available from the natural environment. We are now 3,000 more numerous and alienated from our fellows, the natural world, and our evolved lifeways. What could go wrong? Everything?
Back in 2018, when this documentary was initially released, none of the current AI-based tools were available. Therefore neither the script nor the narration is AI generated. Thanks for the comment.
1:12 was this written by AI? Why did the narrator say "extreme bestiality"? Look at all the long videos this channel puts out at a pretty rapid pace. Also note how the channel responds to every single comment, responding to all comments in the exact same set of ways. Everything about this channel is screaming AI generated content farm.
Hi, thanks for the comment. No, 90% of the videos on this channel were filmed, edited and broadcast on TV (more than 70 countries) before the AI came into our lives :) So, no. Real people worked on these, including replying to these comments. Subject video was filmed and released in 2017, won several international awards, broadcast in 45 countries in more than 20 different languages.
Look - I'll be honest here...I watch *a lot* of nature/earth documentaries and I have to say the content here is interesting but the narration is makes it hard to enjoy...there's a reason why certain people are suited to do voice work while other's are not...this guy probably has good intentions but they *really* need someone else to narrate their content.
I'm normally very picky but I can't see a problem here . His pronunciation is so perfect I would assume it's a robot . However we should also be very thankful that such content exists with so much garbage being put out by the Americans
According to Oxford Dictionary, its most commonly used meaning is "The state or condition of degradation or debasement; depravity; brutal or cruel behavior". According to Dictionary.com, it means: 1 brutish or beastly character or behavior; beastliness. 2 indulgence in beastlike appetites, instincts, impulses, etc. 3 an instance of bestial character or behavior. 4 sexual relations between a person and an animal; sodomy. Thanks for your comment 🙏🏻
@@wildlifefilmcentral Okay, it has a very obvious meaning in the english lexicon. Plenty of other words you coulda used to say the same thing without the obvious implication of the word bestiality. Cheers.
@@robertb1802 pretty sure the script was written by an ai. anyone would have seen that the script said "extreme bestiality" and would have just change it. but since it was probably written by an AI they probably just let it through without any oversight
Nope, not AI. This was written and broadcast in 45 countries, won several international awards when it was produced back in 2017. Our productions are mainly for TV's and once they are done with their "economical life" (which is usually 4 to 6 years), we publish them here. Our programs go through two different inspections by independent, accredited inspectors before they are released, both for their technical specs and for its context. Once the lab approves the video (in our case, the accredited lab is in the UK) it goes through each channels own seperate inspection and then it's released to public. On average, from planning to logistics, filming to inspecting, more than 50 real people are involved in each of our videos you watch here. Thanks for the comment. Just to prove that we are not AI, please note that your other comment was also replied to :) Cheers.
08:02. Livestock are the major source of milk and meat for the OvaHimba. Their main diet is sour milk and maize porridge (oruhere ruomaere) and sometimes plain hard porridge only, due to milk and meat scarcity. Their diet is also supplemented by cornmeal, chicken eggs, wild herbs and honey. Only occasionally, and opportunistically, are the livestock sold for cash.[1] source: wikipedia
