Nice review on belts, I commend you for buying USA made as much as possible! I'm currently working on my USA hunting rifle project as I call it lol. A 1965 Winchester model 70, 30-06 (what's more American?), Bell and Carlson stock (made in Kansas) Warne rings and bases, Leupold scope (Oregon) and Montana leather sling (Montana of course).

Thanks Desert Dog for the great tip on the Marsupial Belt. I have had bad belt luck until I took your advice and bought one

Hi DD, good topic. I've three different 5.11 belts which I like and use daily, though thanks for giving me a cue about the Marsupial Belt... gonna get one!

Another great review video DD. Like you and probably most men out there, I have a drawer full of old belts. Several years ago I discovered the 511 belt very similar to the one that you reviewed, and imo it's the simplest, most comfortable belt I've ever owned. I wear it daily, know matter the occasion . Like I said, I've owned it for many years and there's no sign of wear or tear on it. Thanks again.

Love this review and would love to see more reviews on your warmest hunting clothes that are made in USA. I have been looking for the best stuff. I like first lite but I don’t like where it is made.

Excellent…what’s your choice of shell carrying holders whether in Africa or North America ? Make for a good video I think. Kind regards New Brunswick Canada

Swamp doggie uses a cotton belt: his belly hangs over his belt and he hunts from his truck

Unique Content. Much appreciated by the back country folks. Gotta say, I'm happy with my leather belt but I wear suspenders too. I totally get the emergency relief issues as well, lol! Those TSA belts look nice though

About a year ago I made a 2 inch wide belt from buffalo leather and the only issue I've ever had was taking a piss because the belt wouldn't go through my belt loops so when I undo everything I'd have to flair my hips out to keep the belt from falling.

I've tried a lot of these and recently purchased a couple of Ridge belts (both buckle types)... they appear to TSA compatible (poly/nylon and some kind of polymer buckles on the lightweight which can be easily swapped when you need to travel). Loving the Ridge belts...

Great review, DD. I might have to get one of those Marsupial belts. I figured they would be made Down Under. I was hoping you'd review that Murray Custom Leather cartridge belt hanging in the background. Thanks! 👍😃🍺🇺🇲

Not just "sketchy" but "super sketchy!" When regular "sketchy" isn't enough...

Hanging off a wall supported by that little D-ring and trusting your life to "belt loops" on you pants, then hoping the slave laborers at the Chinese Condor plant were paying attention when they made your belt; probably qualifies as "super sketchy", lol.

I have a weaved army green paracord belt that I absolutely love. It’s light and the belt tab inserts between the weave anywhere you like. I wore it on several hunts with zero lssues.

@@luvtahandload7692 I actually got it at JC Penny several years ago. I cut the mfr. tag off and don’t know the brand. If you google green paracord belt, there’s a few. I don’t see mine though.

Marsupial gear also makes a FANTASTIC bino harness! Can't recommend them enough!

I’m a fan of the grip6 ultralight belts. It takes a little getting used to. But if you’re going to be covering a lot of terrain and ounces matter this is the belt.

I love my 3in leather belt for my tool belt, but wouldn't want to wear it hunting. I have a couple of American made hemp belts with 2 d rings for buckle. I wear them in the winter. Because of layering I need a belt in the winter.

I've been searching for a decent belt for quite a while I currently wear a thick leather belt my wife bought me a horrible belt from we the people it was 40 something dollars only Velcro first 5 seconds I bet over and it unbuckled they have one for $80 I'm sure it's great my first rifle wich cost substantially less has taken hundreds of hogs and many deer I can afford $80 for a belt but not to just return it again thank you for your info I'll be trying out a marsupial

Another good, practical product review. I think I'll have to find a Marsupial belt. Does it have a hidden pouch? Now where can I find a decent pair of bird hunting pants at a decent price? The kind that used to have canvas on the front. Then that became so-called ripstop nylon. I outgrew mine years ago.
@desertdogoutdoors1113

The company is called "Marsupial Gear", because initially all they made was chest-mounted bino harnesses.

Thank you DD!! I have been looking at belts recently and even bought a few to only be disappointed. Each one I purchased yeah, made in a communist country. You cover it all DD and I thank you for it brother.

Groove buckles are made in CHINA. It is expensive for a stretchy thin belt and when I draw my gun I have to hold on to it or it rides up. It is terrible for EDC. Who cares if you have to take your belt off once a month?
