Killer narration by the eldest Eastman. Smooth and calm, so well done.

Guy, your Grandpa's film, Challenging the Northwest Territories, is my favorite outdoor film of all-time. I have it on VHS and DVD. I watch it at least 3-4 times a year. It never ceases to impress me how lucky those first hunters were to visit and hunt that area.

Gordon Eastman had one of the most natural narrator voices I ever heard. He could sure tell a story in a way that was simple and honest. There is no one that I know of in the hunting media world that has matched him in my opinion. I have all his old VHS and DVDs and watch them often.

Gordon’s films had a huge impact on my life also. I remember his huge colorful poster on a power pole in Palmer AK as a kid, which was advertising this film. My dad and I went to it in the school auditorium. I couldn’t get enough of it. Gordon sat there narrating it.

Thanks for watching the film nmelkhunter1. We had a great time putting this one together. I believe Gordon and his buddies were all shooting Winchester pre-64s. Gordon was actually a gunsmith by trade and worked underneath Al Beason in the Spokane, WA area. Al was Jack O'Conner's gunsmith and that is how Gordon got to know Jack. They may have been 7MM mags. I think Danny was a Weatherby man however so his gun was probably different. Maybe a 7mm WBY Mag. That's about all I know about the guns at this point. I hope this helps. Good luck this fall. -G
