Good to see you back FISHING! I learned a bunch watching you back five or six years ago. Shit changes I get that but I used to watch the Squad fishing every damn day, now I gotta wait to see a fishing video once in a while. I still watch Flair damn near religiously, can’t say why, I watched him mow the friggin grass for 45 mins one time. Anyway, hope to see more of the old Rob fishing for bass a little more regularly.
"Rob, can you imagine catching barramundis that are over a metre long all day long and then hunting buffaloes, wild bulls, boars the next? It's definitely possible, mate!" "Mate, Australia is calling your name. Are you ready to visit?"
I live in Florida 20 minutes from Rodman reservoir, st.johns river, and ocklawaha river. I don't have any fancy gadgets at all just a 14 foot boat with a 40 hp tiller motor. I caught 14 bass over 8 pounds in 2023. 5 was over 10 pounds and 2 was over 12 pounds. 12 pounds 4 ounce and 12 pounds 14 ounce. The 12.14 was my personal best. I thank God every day for the great fishing here. Good video glad he enjoyed fishing Florida. Was wondering what happened between this guy and demo ranch. Seen the knifes they was selling together then no more videos together soon after that. Who screwed who lol
The largest bass I ever caught in Florida was a 12.4-pound largemouth that I caught in "Tsala Apopka Lake" in a small town called Hernando Florida, in Citrus County Florida, (Not Hernando County Florida), Tsala Apopka Lake is a massive 19,000+ acres with a lot of shallow vegetated marshy areas and stuff like you were just fishing in, and areas of deeper open pools.
@@JamesPetit1 That's cool. I haven't fished there in a long time, but I've visited the little park next to the boat ramp that used to we used to call Hernando Beach a few times, and the lake still looks great. I grew up on that lake.
Welcome to where I grew up! I have a ton of amazing spots with minimal pressure if you ever get back in the area. PS not mud bogs, floating land mats or tussocks
Nice bucket mouth Rob! I like using a 1/8th oz Texas rig with a lizard and drag it through the bed and stop it and shake the hell outta it. Gets a reaction bite every time!
You should partner with Tracker Boats on their entry level bass/panfish boat and do a Googan Squad edition... use the same flooring in your current boat... as part of the package add the scale, and some other small goodies...
Great vid man! This is what I used to love to watch. You went another direction and I quit watching. If you are going back to your roots, I will be there for ya!
I'm sure you guys are on it, but we need a straight tail minnow bait by next season or even fall. Not just a smaller Dart (which I love) but an all new profile. Call it... Money Minnow Shout me out if you use this ;)
Cool catches. But you’re selling yourself too much. This is more of a big ass commercial than an enjoyable fishing video with some tips.(edit- nice scale stretch 😂😂😂😂)
But it looks like you’re using gamma Atsu hooks, why aren’t you telling people that I love goog products even though they don’t sell them in Northern surgery, tell him the whole process of the proper hooks
Yuh I peeped that too, weird cut to make too. That wasn’t a 10 either, I caught a barely 9 not long ago that was slightly bigger in size than that one. I’d say first weight was accurate, no reason to go pulling on a fishes tail to get a bigger weight.
lunkers shooting and fishing videos like this is why i loved lunkers. when he went to the camera man and all that it kinda went downhill. love the self filming videos rob.
