I'm obsessed with your channel, I've watched a ton of your videos today. I make tenkara videos, have had the itch to start fishing for micros, and now that itch is growing even stronger. I used to live in Northern Virginia (Colorado now) too ... man I wish I was into this back when I was still there. Awesome stuff dude. I've always wanted to see a hellbender as well!
Amazing video. I can’t wait to get on my first darter unfortunately I haven’t found a creek in my area that has darters. im gonna have to go up to San Antonio and see if I can get some.
Hey dude, love your videos, so glad I found your channel! Noob question, but what kind of rod & wet suit do you use? I'm using a crappy tanago rod but it's starting to disintegrate after like 10 uses lol
Thanks! I use the end 3ft section of a medium rod for the snorkel rod. Medium because I like some good backbone to counteract the extra rod bend you get when setting the hook and all else underwater. The wetsuit is by ZCCO off of Amazon but I’m not really a fan of it. It’s advertised as 3mm but feels more like 2-2.5mm and the wetsuit’s slightly shorter and plumper than advertised. It’s really difficult to find a reasonably priced wetsuit that’s tailored for someone with a BMI less than the average American, ZCCO is no exception. All reasons why I painted over the logo lol.
