Hi Dave, great video, nice to see you sat, a man after my own taste with Lamborghini's 👍 Thanks for the promotion of my stall name. Regards Rob (tatsntoys75) 🙏
What a treasure trove there Dave! I could’ve done some serious damage to my wallet. Andy has me hooked too. Great book! Loved the music choices for this one too. 😎
Can you imagine both of us attending a toy fair!! We'd just encourage each other to buy everything 🤣 Ha ha Andy's got you into Battle Beasts too, how many deep are you now?? Glad you loved the music!! 👍 Cheers!!
Ha, that was funny, Dave. You got there so early for the Early Bird ticket that the vendors didn't even get to set up their tables yet! :) Nice show, thanks for the tour. The Other World figures, I had the playset and castle as a kid and the flying orange/red/yellow hawk monster Bird was my favorite, along with the dragon and smaller bendable figures. Thanks!
Yeah, won't be doing that again. They let the dealers in at the same time LOL Oh well live and learn 🤣 Awesome, you had The Other World figures!! Nice. I've never even heard of them before so have been doing some research - they look great!! 👍
Ahhhhh another VTR hunt, love it, some lovely vintage goodness up for grabs too, I’ve gotta get to a toy fair soon, these events are much better suited for my collection needs now, great pick ups Dave, thanks for taking us along 👍😊
Yeah, there's been a decent selection of Star Wars at the last few toy fairs. In fact, the previous Sandown had some cracking stuff which I managed to capture on video!! 👍
@@VintageToyRush I'm into vintage 3 inch diecast cars. Found some Matchbox, Lone Star, Playart and Muky variations. All of them with original cardboard boxes.
I just watched both toy fairs Kempton and Sandown, can't believe how many times you see General Madine! So many great Star Wars figures at an extraordinary price. The R5D4 MOC for 1250 quid was amazing. I would love to get to a toy fair someday. Great videos Dave!
Thanks Mike!! 👍 If you ever make it to the UK, I'm taking you to a toy fair or two and we can both complain about the price of Star Wars MOCs 🤣 Can't promise any sightings of Madine though, I think he only haunts me when I'm alone 😎
@@VintageToyRush yeah I collect a few. Lovely to collect as you say they don't take up much space. And look amazing with all there different colours and weapons. 😉👍👍👍👍👍
Really enjoyed this video Dave, except for the fleeting shot of the box full of MUSCLE figures, which distressed me because I don't have mine anymore and I frickin love them. I'd love to go to a fair of this size, as the Norwich Toy Fair is tiny in comparison. Those Battle Beasts are very cool. Thanks for taking us along Dave! 👍🐵
I have a similar feeling about muscle men - cleared out before I went to Uni, and now I desire those little pink flesh guys again. but it's a huge wormhole. nearly 300 to collect!
Cheers Dave! 🤘 I had a look at those MUSCLEs - never had any but was amazed how similar they all look 🤣 Let me see if I can grab a few from them 👍 One day we'll have to arrange to meet at a toy fair!!
@@VintageToyRush haha yeah there are a lot of them. They were so popular when I was a kid. I remember trading them with other children. The flesh-color ones were the first OG guys but the later series were all sorts of wacky neon colours which made it more difficult to appreciate the sculpts. Oh man, if I was at a toy fair this big you would find me under a MOTU stall, weeping and sucking my thumb 😂😂
Some familiar faces is always fun at a toy show 😁👍 When you say its "tempting" I feel we will see it in the pickups 😆 But no V figure this time round. When we catch up, I can show you my Arco The Other World collection Im working on? I enjoy this as not too many know about it so I fun calling it out when others get stumped 😆 Another great hunt vid Dave. Look forward to your next restoration vid 👍
Ha ha, I see loads of tempting items but I'm pretty sure the lack of space is putting me off! Having said that I have recently purchased the LJN V enemy figure which is cool. I'd love to see your Arco The Other World collection. Have done some research and it looks a great toy line so really am tempted to pick up a few!!! Hopefully some restorations will be on their way soon! 👍
I just perused your videos and I see you've been doing a lot of toy fairs lately! I'm so jealous as I don't think we have quite the frequency of these types of things where I live. What a great look at a whole bunch of vintage toy lines. I just can't believe how much was out there and right under my nose when I was a kid that I've never even heard of. And those vintage Star Wars figures? Wow! I'd love to have a carded Stormtrooper but it looks like they're going for thousands now. 😂 Always good to see Matt and some of the other collectors as well. Thanks for taking us along, Dave!
Hey!! I've been attending toy fairs for years but only recently thought to capture one on film. It was so much fun, I recorded some more 🤣 You're not the only one who thinks how did I miss so much as a kid and even though have been to plenty of fairs, I'm still discovering lines from the 80s on each visit 😎 Have noticed more availability of Star Wars recently but as you say those classic ones are still demanding high prices!! We should have bought them all years ago LOL Ever since doing YT my toy fair experience has changed - now spending much more time chatting to fellow collectors, dealers and friends - probably why I'm not picking up so much - not focused LOL. Glad you're enjoying a slice of Britain!! Cheers Paul 👍
Looks like a great fair Dave! Wow those (Amicable Herculean?🤔) turtle-style figures have to be some of the weirdest knock-offs I've ever seen. No idea how you managed to get this video edited and uploaded this quickly but I'm sure glad you did!😁👍
Hey Scott! Sandown is one of my favourite fairs. You never know what you're gonna see and yeah, those turtle knock-offs are completely off the chart, and a great name too right 🤣 Thanks for noticing how quickly the video was published, it does take some effort but I think it's better for events like this. For restoration videos, the process takes much longer!!
You and matt got there so early, you could have at least helped those vendors set up! Nice to see you got some goodies this time round Dave! (Those Battle Beasts are cool!) See you in your restoration videos my friend!
Ha ha!! I think the vendors would prefer if they had some time on their own to setup first before being bombarded!! I'm blaming Andy for the Battle Beasts - if it wasn't for his damn book, I would never had started 🤣 Hoping to get some restorations done soonish... cheers Shabby! 🤘
I swear you are the most polite toy collector I have ever seen, watching you makes me wish more people were so well mannered 🙂 Love your videos!! I actually have a specific request if you could help a fellow collector out? Do you know anyone with a loose WWF HASBRO LUDVIG BORGA? Really struggling to find one that isn't silly EBay prices!! All the best, Dom (Manchester) 🇬🇧 Ps keep up the good work, love watching your hunt videos 😄
Hey Dom!! Thanks so much for the kind words. We're all in this collecting community together, so manners will always go a long way - well my dad always told me that 🤣 Now, I'm no expert on Wrestling but can ask around, maybe put you in contact with a few people who could help 👍 Thanks for the support! 🤘
@@VintageToyRush its similar to the song from Luke's 2K subs vid he made for you. God i loved that song. Made me wanna get up and dance, and i dont even know what its called. So i just keep playing that last 45sec 🤣🤣🤣
