I was moping around the house here on an extremely rainy day here in northern PA. Then I turned this video on and instantly got inspired! Everyone was going with the flow.....especially Rose. No one was complaining about the rain or losing fish. And then the reward came to show what happens when you persevere. What a joy to see you all together enjoying life.

It never ceases to amaze me how Rose is able to fight and vanquish her fears. Be it of an out-of-control black bear or a house-sized wale.

What a beautiful adventurous life you offer your girls, you and Rose are doing a great job.

So a couple of pointers for trolling for salmon. Your daughter should hold the pole above the reel. It will give her better leverage and control. And another thing you should not try to scoop up the fish from underneath it, always head first and don't leave the net in the water. If you have a bigger net you can hold onto the webbing and you have to time netting just right. Your catch rate will increase. Oh and once you net your salmon aim the net handle straight up to the sky. It will keep your net from breaking. I think it is great you take your family out into the wild to provide for your family!

Never net a fish tail first, awe dad lol. The world would be a better place if children where raised like this, awesome parents.

Wow, that nature is so beautiful, it looks like it was painted by the finger of God, the rocks too. 30 years ago we sailed & kayaked the Inside Passage. This video...Love it! We wanna go back there.

Whoa! Rose was not happy there at the beginning. Glad she made a recovery. I kept thinking who she reminded me of and then I was watching a rerun of Scrubs and it's Amy Smart. Great that the whole family gets out and does this. Keep on living the life.

Oh poor poor Rose. There aren't many things worse than feeling sick to your stomach. ❤️ Biggest fish I ever caught was a 21lb salmon off Vancouver island. I was using a long rod, and a single action fly reel. Scariest and funnest fight ever. Beautiful country boy. You're blessed.
