That’s pretty cool. You can tell it wasn’t no trailer queen, built to be ridden and ridden hard. Good to see a bike like that still around and kicking.

Todd glade your feeling better. I agree with you on thoughts on the corona virus and the whole situation. Im riden every chance i get and im taking the percautions. In north texas. But im staying at home a lot. After work. Take care I'll keep watching your cool videos. Im 60 have owned shovel heads. My 1st was a 81 lowrider. Had 5 more shovels. 5 twincams. Have a 2016 slim s w olive army themed paint and a 2012 ultra limited. Had a paugho rigid w 1976 shovel. Upswept fishtails kick only openbelt. Ol s. S carb. Keep up the ol harley tradition brother and dave mann was the greatest artist of all to the biker community back in the day. Take care. Ol Scott. Your age. Ride till i die
Sweet!! She just loves you Todd. I am saddened to hear from you that these bikes are being shipped to Japan, because all it is about money. They are our heritage that we are selling out here.
Tin Man A lot of them are being shipped to Japan because they are the ones paying for them. As Todd stated it who’s has the money is where they go. Problem I see with it is that the culture which made them isn’t being kept alive here in the states.
@@hack2it which means if you want one buy it. No one is stopping you. I've worked in the motorcycle industry on Harley's since 1968 and most of that as a dealership service tech. A lot of the bikes being exported weren't even wanted 2 decades ago by Americans. When I was young in hte 1970's you could have all the pans you wanted to ride home for less then a grand. It's a free market in operation. I see none of this "culture" talk as holding up. At best folks don't want to pay what the market will bare, So they want the bikes to stay here but what they mean is they want them to be cheap with no real competition for them . At worst it is a racist assumption that only us 'mericans get to own an old Harley. If the British had operated off that silly assumption then no one in the United states (let alone the rest of the world) would have ever owned a British bike.
Yep. It's sickening. Money money money. Here on you tube the videos from Sweden, Norway, Germany, Japan, Australia, etc, etc it seems like there are more of the old real harleys than in the states.
Oh my God this video has brought back so many memories. Kicking cursing kicking talking to myself taking a minute to catch my breath kicking cursing.............................. Throw it on the floor come back in a half an hour start again. these are the bikes that made it all happen these are the bikes that made it all worthwhile man
todd hello. glad to see you around again. hard to teach a old dog new tricks i guess. watching grennie auction was so much fun guy. again if i had it i would have given 300 myself. take care
@@elflaco658 Not true, 1948 bottom end 1975 shovel top end, strocker roller rockers etc etc. I put a good 30 k more on that engine before I sold the bike a few years later.. You'd never do it with one of those new squish head engines, but you can barely start them with a kicker installed, thats why they're all electric start..
Before it was stolen, I road a '63 Panhead, Paughco Hardtail, Jockey shift, Springer that went out 4ft...oh, and it was Ex-LAPD, and I had All the Original Parts...I put 140,000+ miles on that bike riding all across this Country, Canada and Mexico.
Good to see you again! Hey man , the style of this bike takes me back and is representative of the sort of bike you built for you, not for someone else . Just to go have fun on . The look says Chopper, But this IS a 1970s Bobber. Also that is a healthy Pan motor, Just needs a little loving (I so wanted to tune er up a bit once I saw the kind of compression she had. Bless you and your family in accordance with the need in Jesus Holy and Healing name Amen
They can have um, 4 that price. Got my 1st, hand built Pan engine, 5 years ago. STD and S&S everything. Best/strongest Pan I've ever owned. I've always ran an outlaw set-up, so I don't care about originality and it still doesn't leak a single drop. Just my situation, everybody's different. Great video's, take care, my friend!
@Mazen Ahmed He was set up . the feds ? back in the day did't like his 'alternative' style of hetro adult swinging type of caper lifestyle & emailed him a file containing hidden in it some kind of illegal porn & then went around immediately & seized his computer & charged him . . one of the lowest things I'd ever heard about & the coppers responsible should be behind bars for trying to frame/ruin a person simply for leading a (legal) lifestyle different to their own obviously totally corrupt morals.
Seems like half the old Harleys are over in Japan now. As long as they keep 'em running and enjoy them, that's good enough for me, it's just surprising to me how popular they are over there.
I like how the pooch comes out from behind the car and approaches with caution then as You take off He stand there and waits for You guess He knows better than to chase You like My hounds do.What a nice old chop and a sweet lookin pooch ..
I came across a lot of these old harleys when i was out in cali. I rode a lot of them but damn they were fuckin jalopys! Basically rollin artifacts that made a bunch of noise... Was fun though!
@@HuntingHarleys that was funny how your dog was watching its almost like that's what he was thinking!! He is awesome..! what a beauty! It's good to see an expert knowing everything there is to know about the machines they love an sell.
Nice old pan. Working on my dads 1963 pan. Having hard time getting new cylinders. Bad castings, carbide in cylinders had to get aftermarket oil pump for it. Found out hard way s&s oil pumps are not direct bolt on's ,oil pressure way to muck.
I would love to come down and check out your collection sometime. I’m actually in the market for a Harley Davidson. Would have to be in the Softail family, as I have had multiple back surgeries...
Ok guy here we go just another argumentative person on the internet good for u glad your bike was good to u I’ve only had like 37 bikes and spent 20 yrs chasing motocross championships so I think I know enough
Never said I only liked rice burners I like American bikes so pay attention!!! But at least they always run and run and run 9 out of 10 times it’s a Harley broken down ...Indians and I’m only kickstarting a dirt bike have a good one ✌🏻
@@kevinfox416 I never said you didnt. You said it would make a nice boat anchor now you pay attention. I rode mine for 130 thousand miles and all I did was replace the primary beld when it caught a rock in it and you dunno what your talkin about...
Hi, I used to ride a 65 Pan Head with a Knuckle Head straight leg frame, back in the early 70’s we molded the frame, sat the sporter tank low on the frame, kick start only, Removed all electric start, small 3/4 inch rake, and a little extra engine work with hotter can, bigger pistons, stock carburetor! So now I ready to waive some money your way and will drive down south to your location as I am looking for a Pan Head Basket Case that needs some TLC! I sent you an email ASAP? Thanks 🙏 Brother!
If you come across a shovelhead chopper I'd be an interested buyer. I love the NorCal styled bikes. Been scouting eBay and missed out on a few I would have liked to buy.
I'll tell you what it is...I grew up in those times...chopper?....bobber?....what it is is on cool ass skooter ....ride safe and keep the rubber on the road...
5:30 I spent my time watching your dog that whole time on shot of you leaving and going down and coming back lol..What is the process and cost of buying from you and getting it to Australia?
