Pretty new to DCS (2 months) but really enjoying flying the Gazelle almost exclusively. Managed to spy and engage 2 hinds on separate occasions (they don't seem to have very good spatial awareness) and take out their engines with the GIAT (M621). The first one was particularly annoying as I was engaging him while he had 2 aircraft covering him, one came in for guns and clipped my rotors while he was stalling before he crashed immediately. I died before the hind crashed >:(

I was on the edge of my seat when you were engaging the Mi8! Excellent flying there. Those Hinds can really shift when they want to.

very nice sorties today ! also i think a couple days ago u killed me on tempest while i was trying to get a refresher on the tomcat hahaha, ill see u in the skies next time

Doens't the gazelle have guided anti air missiles a well? Unguided takedown is way cooler ofc :D

Yes, she can take the mistral fox 2 and also the HOT A/G ones but as you said unguided is always better, "puts cool glasses on"

The heaters are very susceptible to flares and some aircraft like the KA-50 has missile detection and automatic countermeasures. Best to come in with guns and a few rockets.

Died multiple times when I RTB, i landed and was rearming when got hit by a shturm by a Hind. Nothing exciting or interesting death thats why i didnt add it on the video
