Hunting In The Dixie Fire. 

This is my first season hunting deer in Northern California, so even though I've been working in the woods here since I was in high school, trying to think like a deer is new to me. And no, I didn't see any bucks.
But drawing a C-zone tag gave me a reason to visit one of my favorite places last week, and I got some time to walk and think, and sit.
If you're new to my channel, we're all about wildfire, and talk a lot about forest management, too. Here are some things I thought about while I was trying not to step on a million dry twigs, wandering around the 2021 Dixie Fire.
