Hunting Island State Park | Campgrounds on the Beach | Lighthouse

Hunting Island State Park is right on the Beach in SC. It's a great campground with lots of shade. Navigating inside the campground is a little tighter than some and does have some standing water after a heavy rain shower, but seems to dry out pretty quickly. We loved this campground and will definitely be back.

I did a photo shoot on the beach there with Rhino Rack USA a few years ago. I pronounced it the same way you did but was corrected by one of the locals. Its pronounced like Bow-Fort lol I still end up saying it the way you did lol such a beautiful little town. Gorgeous beach!

Love camping at Hunting Island…unless the love bugs are hatching by the millions and then it’s a nightmare! We are from NC but I work in Greenville and we have a GD Reflection also. We just got home from spending a week at Myrtle Beach State Park. Great video.

In my opinion I like Edisto better in some ways. I like the beach side at Edisto and I like all the biking trails there as well. However both are nice.

it's too bad you didn't get to see the bone yard on the island, I guess someone thought it would be smart to take away a beautiful landmark that kept Hunting Island an island to on to itself. It felt as though you were on a deserted island out in the faraway sea. I would love to know why they removed it. Does anyone know?

We actually did see the bone yard however the weather was pretty nasty that day we didn't spend much time there. Maybe better luck next time.

We have the Camp Chef Pro60X which has 2 burners, A grill box and A griddle. It folds down into a bag. We have been very happy with it. Thanks for watching!!
