Kind of surprise you didn’t set up in the area you saw those does during your first sit at the oxbow. Seems like a buck would have gone sniffing through that area sooner or later.

It is possible. The winds switched after that first hunt though and I didn't feel like I could hunt it without being winded.

The man Dan Infalt says you should hunt high in the hills on ridges etc. that to many people make mistakes of trying to hunt bottoms and they should be up higher in the hills !
