How do you remove hunting pressure? Thats a really common question, so today, I'll be going over that, and then doing it!

Me: 25 meters out can't get a double lung shot on a black tail standing still. Flinter: Loses breaths, fires random shot. Headshot insta kill. Me: I hear pinball is a fun game... :-(

BeezerMN if you want to try get double lung aim higher up because the lungs are thinner and there is a chance to get spinal cord shots

Dont know if this affects you but ive been recently focusing more on patience and not shooting untili get a straight broadside hit or close enough to confidently hit a heart or brain shot. might be you just ahve abd aim but maybe try that.

That's a good idea. I'll try that! I usually do rabbits, tripod in the middle of their ground, scent eliminator, semi auto shotgun (no sights). I almost feel bad for them. Almost.

Flinter, Question: How do you get animals you’ve shot from a herd to respawn? Does removing the hunting pressure from that area trigger them to respawn or do they just respawn over time on their own? I’ve been playing since the release on console but this beginner series is actually really helping me hone my skills. Great job!

I’m starting to think all these youtubers use cheat codes for animal spawn because I use zones and the times and it still takes about an hour before I see 1 animal while they take 5 steps out an outpost and animals just walking around

The removing hunting pressure helped very much my circumstance, I killed 5 moose and 3 black bears in Layton lakes, so I need to shoot as many animals as I can in other areas

what are your thoughts on herd management? taking the lesser males to increase the chances of a trophy animal?

@@Carnidoom yes, re-spawning in this game works by sex of the the animal, males re-spawn into males and so and so, so if you kill a smaller male it can turn into a bigger animal

Hey flint as you said in one of your other videos if I recall correctly I think you said if there is a range finding bow sight you would bow hunt more so will there be more bow hunting after high tech hunting pack is released?

I remove hunting pressure by going rabbit hunting. I have a few spots in Layton lake where I really like to hunt so I just listen for warning thumps. A lot of rabbits end up stopping and looking around so I have a really good opertunity.

once again great video, do you use a controller or keyboard and mouse. I see in the settings you can use a controller but even plugged in directly to my lap top the game doesnt pick up my controller

I use PS4 controller. Actual Sony version currently but I have used generic brands in the past with no troubles. Try resetting the controls under "settings--> gamepad" to default. You can always check which keys on keyboard correspond to the buttons on your controller with "key bindings" also in settings. If you use Steam, when you start the game you should see a popup (bottom right for me) that shows a controller graphic and says something like " Configuration loaded" and a short description of that Steam-based configuration. If you don't......maybe its a Steam issue?????? I don't know if any of this helps because it has always automatically worked for me....for this game at least.

Can you make a comprehensive video of tips for finding need zones. I can’t for the life of me find any. I see a lot of videos on how to use them but that doesn’t help if I can’t find them. Even walking around lakes I don’t see any.

@@ProjectMercy1 if you've spent 1 hour and not seen a single animal it's because you're running around like a madman. Find a need zone such as a lake, look for tracks and you'll find the need zone. Set up a hunting blind a but before the need zone is active, wait until you hear movement and then hunt. You just have your headphones on, scroll through shit on your phone until something walks by and pop it. Easiest way to hunt with bows too

I think pressure makes Gemsbok angry and murderous lol. I've gone into purple pressure zones, and still able to hunt them, but only as they run full speed thru it, and they WILL try to kill/run into you if you're in their path. weird game.

Some unsolicited tips.... Choose the weapons for your targets. You may also want to take a bow or revolver for protection. You can always go to a tent and change your mind. There are various spreadsheets kicking around showing what weapon gives what integrity for what species. You should also look for easier targets to ramp up your skills. E.g. I take bear from tree stands with a bow. Too easy. Boring, almost. Taking bunnies with a bow... Harder. Try different load outs and styles. Sometimes it refreshes things to try some weapons you have always dismissed. Once you have found your sweet spot, occasionally try an "uncomfortable' load and different animals.

Hey Flinter ! I was wondering if I could get you to talk to the developers about putting the ghillie suit in the game store, or the store for all the platforms, or better yet, see if they would do it like they did before, and do another event for those of us that came after that event ! Because I don't think it's fair for them to hold something that we didn't get the opportunity to see, against us, FOR EVER ! (Since you know them, and we don't ) I got the game not long after that event, and I've bought every add-on there is ! I want that suit because no matter how far away the animal is, it seems to be aware of my presence. If it's walking it starts trotting, if it's trotting it starts running when I raise my binocuars, a weapon, or even the camera ! Not sure if the suit will help, but it wouldn't hurt to try either, wouldn't you agree ? Anyway, thank-you for all your time ! Which was alot, if you read all of this ! I'm not usually this windy, but I really would like to try that suit ! And besides that, it's the best looking outfit out of all the choices there are for the PS4 ! Hope you'll take my request into consideration ! Sincerely The Alpha Pan

Forgot to tell you what a great job you do on your tutorials ! I also like watching you hunt, sometimes I'll go to one of your tutorials long enough just to get the info I need, and then end up staying till the end ! And if that's not bad enough, there have been times when I watched your tutorials back to back before I realized I had my own hunt to get back to ! Berry MiCokiner its a one time payment of the taxidermy cost. It is expensive but youll barely notice it when you have all the gear

Yeah it’s just the taxidermy cost, which is expensive but when you’ve bought all the gear and only have ammo to buy with your money it’s not so bad, it’s nice to have something to spend money on rather than just accumulating it all

i guess it doesn`t work that way with rabbits, because i killed 24 of them, just by sitting in my stand and call them in. they ALWAYS come, they don`t give a shit about hunting pressure.

Don't forget from a stand the hunting pressure is less, like 15 kills I think before you get lvl 4 hunting pressure.

@@redtic3934 i did the same thing without a stand. even without caller, the rabbits come back to the rest zone. even after the rest zone was gone, they still came back. i have killed 19 rabbits without a stand. hunting pressure doesn`t work for rabbits.

I swear, who else has shot animals fatally but never found the body, therefore leaving tons of hunting pressure on the map lol. I know I have, my tracking game is AWFUL! I won't be surprised if I accidentally bump into any of my kills
