All our Record Fairs here in Western Australia take place in Pubs, Sports Bars & Bowling Clubs! My two favourite pastimes, Beer & Records all in one place!
That Groundhogs album was a bargain & you bagged the gatefold too. Nice find. Split is another Groundhogs corker. I think you'd approve of Patto as well. Heep, Rooster, 'hogs, Wishbone, Patto, all in that first wave of hairy British hard rock. Good stuff.
Thanks Nigel! I am aware of Split but haven't got one myself. I'll have a listen to TCFTB and then I may go and pick up a Split! And don't get me started on Patto! If I like them I'm going to be hunting for the rare swirl version and I'm not sure I can handle yet another rare one on the list haha
Thank Christ For The Bomb is absolutely brilliant - it is indeed their best, nicely done! Bass player and singer for Hard Stuff was in a band called Quatermass before. One self titled album from 1970, and it's a masterpiece.
Thanks George! I've yet to listen to it but it's on the agenda! And I've yet to listen to Quatermass. I know Andromeda and Atomic Rooster and Hard Stuff but it seems the only related band from that I haven't heard yet is Quatermass. I'll give it a go!
@@thevinylhunters Well worth doing. UK first pressings are pricey. However it was re-issued mid 70s in UK with an alternative cover which is much cheaper.
The traders must feel like running away when they see you pair turn up. They've got to cover their overheads, fair enough, but it kind of proves how much they've hiked up their prices. Great haggling guys. If I see fair priced vinyl, I won't haggle, just buy and move to the next stall.
Yes I'd say that dealers definitely see us and have to take a deep breath but all in all I'm sure they enjoy dealing with our shenanigans to some extent! It's always a pleasure :)
77th like ..! not bad for a vibrators record day.!😅 First time checking your videos out. Awesome looking brewery record fair. Great choice in records. Cheers from Tx..!🍻
I wonder if these guys would find it acceptable to haggle over a discount on their wages/pension? Cheeses me off when buyers do this at fairs. These dealers spend time sourcing, grading and pricing their stock, pay the stall overheads and, shock horror, some of them even pay the HMRC on their profites.
@@thevinylhunters I love it, my favourite hog’s album. The first track B.D.D. is straight off a brilliant track, well, they all are, lol. And “Split” well, another one, the track “Cherry Red”, just brilliant. Hey, let me know what you think of the albums and your fave tracks. I’d be surprised if you didn’t like them.
