The R160 W only shows up if there’s a train shortage in the AM. there’s only 1 W that comes from Coney Island yard and starts at 86 Street Brooklyn. If there’s no R46/68 available, they’ll use a 160. It then comes back down to 86 after the AM rush and lays up back in the yard to be used for R service in the PM. There’s 3 W trains to 86 after the AM rush

I have an idea for a route but it involves a bus (If that's ok): G to Broadway M to Myrtle-Wycoff L to Rockaway Parkway B6 to flabush Avenue Brooklyn College 2 or 5 to Franklin Medgar Evers S to Franklin Avenue C to Hoyt-Schermerhorn I like the Canarsie area, the Franklin Avenue Shuttle, and Wilson Avenue along the L since it's the only station that is above ground in one direction and underground in the other.
Actually you were looking for the R160 W at the wrong time. Its usually been running in the morning as the 7:03 AM train from Gravesend-86 Street and the 8:33 AM train from Astoria-Ditmars. One round trip between said two stops
Nice love how it was you failed oh well one thing I would try is a R160 Q train it leaves 96th street at 8:08am or 8:15am to Coney Island gets to Dekalb between 8:30-8:45am as for the r160 w train sometimes it runs on the W that gets to Brooklyn around 9:15-9:30am to 86th street along with the one from Brooklyn leaving 86th street at 7am
Lol Wikipedia will save u the trouble. It lists the updated car assignments per division. 1) 176 R46s (22 trains) 2)72 R68s (9 trains) 3) 16 R68As (2 trains) [Fleet shared with the "N" train]
@@SuprToe No problem. It'll be every weekend until the end of December. I love when some people dress like it's the 30s 40s 50s or 60s. It runs along the D and F lines from second Ave to 145th Street 4 or 5 times a day on the weekends
I'm sorry to say this but the time you are hunting for the R160 W train was already over. They only run it during the AM rush hours which departs at around 7:50 AM ish and then does a round trip to 86th Street at around 9am. Also, it doesn't terminate to Whitehall Street. I have another challenge: They are running the R68 on the A train, and it departs at around 6:47 PM from Inwood 207th Street to Far Rockway but it's the only one running throughout the time. Don't keep missing the opportunity please :( | I thought you are able to be accomplishing this!
you know back in 2016 on Nov 7 you caught during the AM Rush that’s why you trying catch it during the middays & it will not run so only rare happens if a R46 having problems during morning rush hours at 7am
Catch the R160 Q train from 96th Street Second Avenue. It departs at 8:14 in the morning from 96th Street. I have a good one!! They run R68 on the A line at 5pm!
@@SuprToe I was on a R179 shuttle to rockway park but there was a R211 program for shuttle on the way back to broad channel so I took it. This was around 12:30pm today. I assume a R179 had an issue which would also explain why there was also an R46 going back to Rockaway park as a shuttle. A total of 3 shuttles
The R68/A A train will be discontinued until further notice because of the R46s having problems on the N, W, and Q lines so the R68/As that belong to the A are going to those lines and maybe some R160s may go to the N, W, and Q lines
Who was this voice again? Also if you want something to do that’ll take away 1 hour of your life, attempt to find a 7 train with those 62-like circles and diamonds
