Got to hunt our new property in NW Pa for the first time this season. Haven’t hunted Pa in 33 years. It was just great to sit and enjoy nature and learn the pattern of deer moving from our creek, to our pastures to fences beyond. They were on our apples and acorns hard. Our apple trees held fruit way longer than expected as well. I didn’t have any doe tags this season but I did see two immature non-shooter bucks that will be nice in a few years. Sometimes, it’s just nice to sit with nature and your own thoughts. I also got to hunt my extended family farm for the first time ever. Not knowing much about deer movement there, I did see does every time. Overall, I’d rate my season as 100% nonetheless. Already know where to build my box blind for next season and where to hang a leaner for a different area along the creek.

Saw lots of deer this season. I shot an 8 point and my son in law shot a 6 point during the early part of gun season on the farm here in Michigan’s Thumb. Congrats to Mason and Good Luck!

We used to help around the farm we hunted on to get the farmer and sons hunting driver, stands in the pm. We delivered a new appiance every year until the kitchen was a matched set. Gunderson locker can make an old buck into some terrific venison sausage..Mondovi at 10 @ 37 merge.

My sister had a houseful for deer hunting. Friday morning was a slow start and line for the bathroom. Her boyfriend was going to step out the back garage door to do his business and saw 3 deer. He turned around and grabbed his gun next to the door and dropped 2, while still in his PJs and slippers. Now that's hunting in NW Wisconsin.

Just took a doe for the freezer this afternoon. I still have 5 more days to try for one of the two bucks I’ve been watching ! I have another week of late archery but I’m getting tired and my old body doesn’t take the cold like it used too.

No monsters but my 82 year old Dad shot 2 8 pointers. Using his old 1917 Eddystone 3006. Pretty slow in our area Iowa county

My two brothers have gotten some nice bucks in the past years. I got a few but I usually got to spend deer season picking corn.

the 9 day season was definitely slow. then the following week in muzzle loader season I saw deer on every sit, including over 30 one afternoon. lots of good bucks on trail camera made it through on our side of Trempealeau County.

That's why it's called hunting, not collecting . Some days out there are better than others. But it's always peaceful just getting out into nature

Couple family friends hunted at the farm at a small cabin my dad built few years back . No luck. The weather was warm. Usually would get some venison ranging from hot sticks, ground venison mixed with pork to put on the grill .

I miss hunting but I've got a half a steer, three lambs and a piggy in the freezers and not much free time. My dad dropped a nice 8 point the last year he was able to hunt. The following season he was not strong enough to go out. The deer are like rats here in southeast Michigan. I've seen some soybean fields that looked like they were mowed with a brush hog. Last year when I was picking corn there were about 30 that came out about 4:30 in the afternoon. The tractor and corn picker didn't phase them a bit.

As they say, you took your gun for a walk. If you wished to do so, I would think you could replicate that tree by grafting a branch on a root stock.

Seen a couple the whole deer season other than that nothing I think there's alot of acorns on the ground and coyotes reason why deer aren't moving very well that's my opinion
