Hurrem only Protected Mihrimah as much as she protected her sons. It might look cruel but she saved Mihrimah here. She's married with Rustem and this era doesn't accept wife cheating and is a disgrace. Mihrimah is a Sultana and there are laws that they cannot just bend easily. Mihrimah will be affected if she tolerated this event.

The face Hurrem makes when she spots Mihrimah's "lover" boy is epic " Oh...that trash again..". 🤣🤣🤣 But to be honest ,that lover boy ( forgot his name, the one who "dumps" Mihrimah to prove his loyalty to Mustafa on Mahidevran's behest) was one of the few characters in this series that I neither loved nor hated. 🤣

Surprisingly I remember them too cause even if I've practically saw all or the major episodes of the series I still re watch cause the Magnificent Century channel still reposts. Edit: also maybe because I'm interested in those characters and I am very keen on this series and part of history tho it was said Bali Bey was the Sultan's cousin and Mihrimah was okay with Rustem.
Hurrem or Alexandra is a very intelligent Sultana. That's why she rose from being an ordinary concubine to someone with high authority. She is a very good person and does not forget her values. She teaches all her children fairly and justly.
I find it funny how viewers think hurrem don't understand mihirimah and used her , forced her and all when they are forgetting she was forced and used worse as she was forced to become a slave and was sold , she was just lucky that she fell in love with the man to whom she was sold . it was more or less like arrange marriage in mediaeval era . infact situation of both mihirimah and hurrem is more or less same but mihirimah didn't come to love rustam and wasn't mistreated like a slave but had power . And i am talking about the show not history .

Even men having bastards or extramarital affairs was frowned upon and could lead to severe punishment. Her mother was protecting her just as she protected her sons. If Mirimah was thought to be not a virgin before she is wed, not even Hurrem Sultana could spare her of the punishment she’d get. She could have lovers in secret but she had to be careful and be very skilled to keep it a secret from everyone
I would've liked them as a couple, but it was going to be a nightmare. He is so loyal to Mustafa. That was n9t going to work she is loyal to her mom and family, which would've been a big mess
I stop watching this series after meryam left the show. She totally nailed the series and character hurrem was popular was just because of her amazing acting, speaking skills and her expressions her charm her beauty her walk. I just love her soo much. Love from Pakistan ❤️
Remember that Sultana Sister of Sulejman who wanted to separate from her husband because she was the on cheating? That didn't go well because Hürrem noticed it otherwise I think no one else would dare to gossip Sultan's sister. But in this case Mihrimah was still not married and Hürrem didn't want to give her enemies more evidence against trough her daughter. She did this because of her interests like she married Mihrimah to Rüstem for her own benefit.
What a pity . Hurrem was hunger of Power . She used Mihirimah for to save herself and her Sons . She knew the importance of love . But she never allowed her daughter to love anyone. For the hunger of Power she married Mihirimah to that old Rustam pasha . Mihirimah..... Who just wanted to experience love would never get that just because of her mother. Undoubtedly..... Mihirimah loved her mother more than anything. But Hurrem just loved her sons. :(
I agree, it was sad to see that Mihrimah never had the opportunity to experience love however I think that Hurrem loved Mihrimah the most but had to use her so her other sons wouldn’t die because she loved them too. Mihrimah was her right hand
Your wrong if you just watch only this clip not the whole that will be your opinion but hurrem did it to safeguard everybody rustem is intellegent and influencial person he can harm them if he wanted too and the person mihrimah loved is the moat trusted man of mahidevran and mustafa if your a mother and you knew that if mustafa will be crown as sultan the law order will be follwed that is to kill all his brothers mustafa may not do it but his mother will. With all hurrem difficulties how many times tgey attemp to kill her she always survived she a fighter but one thing she never teach her children to hurt or disrespect other people so as mahidevran when she lost everything selim tge son og hurrem saw her abd took her to the palace give her food, cloth and respected her what a punishment right kill your enime with kindness when she killed mehmet her life started to full down but you know at the end of this novel hurrem went to mahidevran and asked forgiveness and mahidevran accuse her to everything happened to her but when hurrem told her whose the cause of my mehmet death she totally black out 😂😂😂😂 she accepted hurrem and forgive in summary neither of them were innosent they both stained their hands with blood my killing a prince what tragedy but hurrem died peacefully, her eyes close not like other characters like sofiye who died with an open eyes hurrem died in the arms of aultan sulieman she died bringing the heart of the king with her!
I don’t justify Hurrem, but in those times was better to marry for power than love, if Mirimah would have married a man she loved: That man would have been powerful, for marrying the Sultan’s daughter would have been able to use that power to do whatever he wanted. And the poor Mirimah would have been manipulated for love. Even though she is strong, Mirimah was a woman after all, and Hurrem was capable of doing crazy things for love so Mirimah wouldn’t have been the exception. Does that story sound familiar? Yes: Ibrahim and Hatice. Even though they married for love, Ibrahim took advantage of the power he had and made Hatice suffer to the point of becoming crazy.
Because Hurrem had to work for her power through love. Mihrimah was BORN with her power. Do you know what “marrying for love” could have done to and for her? No, it was much better had she married for power as her mother did, even if it seemed harsh. Whoever took her hand would be granted an insane amount of power. I mean look at Shah Huban’s hubby…. Didn’t even marry her for love, but her station and the power it gave him consumed his greedy heart.

Long story short, Mihrimah told Hurrem that she wanted to go to Manisa to visit her brother Mustafa but in reality she was going to see Tascali (the guy that comes up) and Hurrem realises :)
