I only realized now in the first scene how the older actress of Hurrem resembles the younger actress a lot. Maybe not the face but their facial expressions and how they behave.
I really liked the older one actually. Could barely feel the change aside from the face and the actress nailed it. Can’t imagine how difficult it is to play a role in pretty much the same style as your predecessor. I don’t really get the hate the actress got like she did the best she could with what she was given to work with.
İbrahim pasha ruled the empire for years , even Suleiman was accepting whatever he was saying and according to history he was taking his decisions with Mustafa and Mahidevran so for almost 15 years Mahidevran also contributes to ruling of empire .After Mahidevran leaves the palace and Pasha dies, Through Rüstem Hürrem also contributes to it but not as effective as Mahidevran did coz around that time Shahzade Mustafa is the heir to the throne and all pashas trying to get along well with him. That's normal coz he was the future Sultan in everyone's eyes and everybody thinks Hürrem is going to die. The story of Hürrem is %75 fantasy. For centuries people hated on her and the authors themselves said that " we want Hürrem to be loved"
@@zeiniakhan Mihrimah wants to take care of Beyazıt 's wife after he dies but she can't coz Selim doesn't let . Mahidevran Sultan takes care of Hürrem 's daughter in love.... Who is the queen again ?
@@life_is_beautiful_pal you forgot one thing. Hürrem had Suleiman. Ibrahim was at his peak practically a co-ruller but he was not for long since he got executed by Suleiman and Hürrem most likely played some part in it even tho that she might as well not since Ibrahim was even in history way too proud to see some of his mistakes. The thing with using the title of sultan just too oppose the Persian land owners that used that title while ignoring what will Suleiman think about was the best historical evidence of that. Either way Suleiman still ruled the Empire 30 years after the death of Ibrahim and Hürrem had a great influence on him. That with the fact that her son-in-law was grand vezier for 15 years and very close friend to sultan made her extremely influential in the state affairs. She also on many occasions participated in the foreign affairs especially with Crimea but also other countries. You also overestimating the impact Mahidevran had on Ibrahim not to mention that Mustafa was a kid for a good part of Ibrahim's term as grand vizier.
Hurrem is lucky that she died before. If she kept alive and her son become king, Nurbanu would give her Death like dog cause Hurrem son isn't like Mustafa who loves his mother. Her son is selfish, mannerless like her, he would also listen to his Wife as Sulaiman
Vahide(the second actress who interpreted hurrem's role) gave so much class to the character, giving the real queen vibes As for myriem, you couldn't but admire the chemistry in the romantic scenes between her and suleiman, other than that... What she really delivered was the thirst for power, the narcissism,... I am a huge fan of the actress though ❤️❤️ (My own opinion guys... 🙏🙏🙏)
With Vahide we did not get to see the same chemistry as with Meryem but the lack of intimate/kissing scenes kind of brought out a different chemistry but they still looked like a genuine married couple.
While kosem lost you can't deny both she and hurrem were terrifying in their these scenes nurbanu and turhan were shaking , not at all like hafsa sultan she was powerful yes but not smart enough nor powerful enough to defeat a 20 some year old concubine from Ruthenia let alone make her shake in fear
Because hurrem was the wife of ruling king so that it was obvious that nurbano can't overpower her and turhan could over kosem because her son was the king
Hurrem sultan: first concubine to become the haseki sultan. Started the sultanate of women and broke the glass ceiling of royal women. Kosem sultan: Central to the sultanate of women, strongest and longest reigning queen and regent. Independently reigned and was given the title of magnificent mother. Bottom-line: Queens never d!e 👑 Both were amazing 💯
Dizilerde böyle işleniyor ancak gerçek tarihi araştırmalarda Osmanlı İmparatorluğunda bir dönem kadınların yönetimde söz sahibi olduğunu fakat bilinenin aksine gerçek demir leydinin Hatice Turhan Sultan olduğu anlaşılmış gerçekte tek güçlü kadın sultanın kendisi olduğu kabul edilmiş ve hatta devlet yönetimi ile ilgili kararları emirleri ferman ları ile ilgili 164 mektuptan oluşan arşivi bulunup yayınlandı.
lol valide sultan and at the same time a Regent is higher and more powerful than just haseki, haseki is just a consort sultana to ruler Sultan, while Regent is technically a ruler and valide is the highest ranking of a woman sultana in the ottoman dynasty
Hurrem sultan dead as haseki sultan. But If she had survived she would have been the Valide Sultan.History and later descendants of the later Ottoman Empire also believed that Hurram Sultan was a powerful sultan.Even Nurbanu Safiye and Kosem Sultan remembered and respected Hurrem Sultan. You can search if you want. And the most important thing is that Valide is just a tittle. And no matter what the title, the woman became strong by her ability and intelligence so she is a strong and powerful sultana ever. Now, whether you agree or not, everyone's opinion is no longer the same, one out of 100 people may have the opposite opinion.
Watch the whole series. Kosem was the most powerful Sultana, she was loved by both the ordinary and Sultan family. And she ruled the Kingdom & herem as well.
No one can Beat Valide Muazzema Nayeb E Kosem Sultan. She is Everything and a perfect example of a Queen. She lived in the roughest time ever but Still controlled everything properly. Atleast she tried. And remember one thing, hurrem is known as Suleiman's Wife where Sultan Ahmed is known as Valide Kosem Sultan's Husband. Kosem Sultan ever 🌻
@@sameenanaz3311 hahahaahhaa! That’s why Hurrem is known as Top powerful and intelligent Queen and is loved and respected even after 500 years! Go cryyy
No qosem got the power because of the early death of handan sultan & safiye sultan where hurrem had fight Begum sultana hetiza sultan ibrahim pasha, mahideran sultan... So she is the real queen
I get that the Sultanas don’t want a rebellious concubine and want someone obedient and docile (gulnihal, valeria etc) since they can accept the sultan being with other women and they’re obedient and easily controlled and happy with what they get. But they won’t rise to power like Hurrem or Nurbanu did because sure the obedient ones can adapt quickly to being slaves but the rebellious ones can rise to power as opposed to the obedient. Am I making sense? 😅😅
Haseki Hurrem Sultan, both either the character and the actress were out of this world! To me, they are (if I may say) PERFECTION. CRUEL yet MERCIFUL. ARROGANT yet DOWN TO EARTH. VULNARABLE yet TOUGH. VISCIOUS yet LOVING. AMBITIOUS yet PATIENT. Hurrem Sultan is just irreplaceable!
Although Kosem Sultan was killed but one can't deny the terror and fear of both Kosem Sultan and Hurrem. Turhan and Nurbanu were shaking badly with fear . And no doubt Kosem was the most powerful, intelligent and smartest sultana ever existed only fact that droned her was she trust a traitor who she forgave before for disobedience. But not forget Kosem stood tall and rise great even after the death of Sultan Ahmed but Hurrem always had the support of Sultan Suleiman and if sultan Suleiman's had died Hurrem can't stand all the circumstances and would fall.
Turhan only did because kosem was too old, she had no power technically because her grandson was on the throne and not her sons or husband Turhan couldn't do shit when ibrahim was on the throne because ibrahim despite being mad would never allow the killing of his mother or even if turhan killed kosem during ibrahim's reign, ibrahim would've executed it was only she got power when mehmed IV became the sultan at 6-8 years old and she became regent(basically all powers kosem used to have)
She got it by a chance actually! While Hurrem didn't because Sultan Suleiman was alive! Otherwize, of course she would have shown the powerful of all! She paved the way for her successors, made the way a little more easier with her revolution.
@@athirajoy7823 Actually Hürrem was supported by the Mother Queen in real life and she was powerful thanks to Suleiman ,no one would listen to her if Suleiman was dead . People in the empire were even hating on Suleiman after Mustafa's death . Hürrem 's power is overrated as a historical myth . She didn't do anything more than a normal Haseki does
@@life_is_beautiful_pal stop being jeaaalouss hahahahaha! Hurrem did everything more than Haseki. No one would listen to kosem if she lost all her sons! Lmaoooo
@@shoshokikocockerspaniel67ll8 she killed ibrahim only, because he was cruel. Read history not shows. Plus she never compared hurrem and kosem, why are you comparing both were amazing
I’ve seen hurrem sultan 4 times but I’m not sure to watch kosem sultan.. guys what you say should I watch or no plz answer. Well in hurrem sultan they had many good characters like Ibrahim pasha.. do kosem sultan have the same characters ??
@@AhmedGotaymon7 He gave her the crown yes, but she was worthy to wear and wear it, she was regent of the Great Ottoman Empire and she is the magnificent mother. Besides, the fact that he gave him the crown does not change anything, both were powerful, Hürrem started the women's sultanate and Sultana Kösem raised it to the highest point of power. 🛐🛐🛐🛐🛐
Hurrem is the Legend even after 600 years, considered as the most powerful Sultana in the Ottoman Empire . She broke the glass ceiling for royal women and started Era of Sultanate of Women. Her story is an inspiring look at how one woman can bring so much influence and change to a leader and an empire, even if husband stands behind you! Hurrem’s power in the Sultan’s court grew stronger with every passing year. As Navagero wrote in 1553, “there has not been in the Ottoman house a lady that has had more authority.” Her authority showed not only in her firm grip over Suleiman’s heart but also in her ability to compete with the male rivals in Suleiman’s court, and to be a skillful sovereign and ruler. Suleiman the Magnificent repeatedly came to her for counsel and even appointed her as his STATE ADVISOR in foreign affairs, which allowed her to act as a diplomat with foreign powers. Also, it’s recorded by history that she was official Divan member, attending meetings, voting, listening to males and taking part of the meetings “under the dome”, which is called the Kubbealtı. Only men were doing this before her. Hurrem also had a seal, that allowed her to correspond to MALE rulers and kings around the world. Before that females of the empire were only allowed to correspond with female rulers (like empress or queen : Russia and England) or princesses. Hurrem acted as a diplomat with foreign powers through her letters using the title of Shah (queen), from the day she became first and only wife of Padisah in Ottoman history. It is seen that his signature is always referred to as " The State of İsmetlu Hürrem Shah Sultan Aliyyetü'ş-Şân". Hurrem also ruled the empire when Sultan was away on wars, signing important documents on his behalf and receiving diplomats and foreign ambassadors. Hurrem was a keen advisor to Suleiman in political matters, particularly when he was absent from Istanbul on his numerous military campaigns. She regularly sent letters to the Sultan, in which, in addition to expressing her great love and longing for him, she also informed him of the situation in the capital and of any events that required his immediate attention or action. In being thus vigilant, Hurrem protected Suleiman’s interests and contributed to the success of his reign. There is no doubt that Suleiman trusted her more than he did his male advisors. Hurrem is known to have been very generous to the poor. Not only did Hurrem Sultan exercise unprecedented influence on state politics as Suleiman’s chief advisor and diplomat with foreign powers, but she was also fully devoted to philanthropy. Hurrem’s charitable work surpassed any of Ottoman women in volume and geographic reach. She gave inordinate sums of money to help the poor and needy, she built and sponsored endowments (waqfs) in cities like Istanbul, Constantinople, Mecca, Medina, Jerusalem, Damascus, Baghdad, Konya, Edirne, Bulgaria. Most of the buildings, apart from the lodge and the mosque, are still standing today. The charitable soup kitchen called “Takiyah Khaski Sultan Al-Imara” works to present day, with two meals still being served to the poor and homeless according to Hürrem's original recipe! ✔️ A caravanserai, mosque and soup kitchen built in the city of Svilengrad , Bulgaria, the name of which was Cisr-i M Ustafa Pasha at that time. ✔️Charitable soup kitchens “Haseki Imarets” in Edirne, Mecca, Medina, Konya, Baghdad. ✔️At one point Hurrem even sold her own gold, pearls and jewels to pay for Janissaries’ (Ottoman soldier’s) boots and a hike in their pay. I think Hurrem was is the dark horse because no one in the whole world would overpower Suleiman but she still managed to share his power... Suleiman's successors were not so impactful so their smart wives overpowered them easily until Murad became adult, neither his wife nor his mother rose to overshadow him but unfortunately he died so young and again his weak brother enthroned and sultanate of women continued... I am amazed how women from that era that too from Islam community managed to exercised such power and influenced the whole world... ALL HAIL THE QUEENS
Hurrem and kosem both are powerful but kosem is literally the strongest sultan because her love Ahmed died and after his death his stepson send her to old palace even he killed his own brother but she still stand for sultanate osmania she literally donate her life for this kingdom
For those saying Hurrem died respected and kosem was taken down by turhan well Hurrem sultan was genius and powerful with her husband along but kosem sultan had gone through a lot and she was a real warrior. A queen lives like a real queen even if for a single day. About the kids Hurrem thought her children to be kind also scary monsters if needed just as she was so they paid a lot respect to her but when it comes to kosem I think he children were all ungrateful and unworthy of her efforts so she did great executing them

hurrem won because no one can destroy her, she died bcs of an illness but turhan won against kosem, that's why hurrem paved the way for the other sultans, she's the most powerful one!
Kösem is the most powerful woman and she was literally the empress, I don't understand why you keep simping Hürrem under the comment section. You might love her but that doesn't mean she was more powerful. Ottoman Empire has begun falling down after Kösem gone
Hürrem was the first empress of the ottoman empire, that's what Haseki mean. Empire's wife. Kösem only was regent because her husband died and her son was a child, if Murad was older she never had became a regent.
@@dinarodriguezberrio3233 you're a Spaniard and I am Turkish from Istanbul - they teach us what Haseki means in school. Haseki is not something special for Hürrem Sultan, Haseki means the emperor's favourite consort, nothing alike with the title "empress".
@@dinarodriguezberrio3233 and before becoming the regent (i.e taking the role of the empress since you cannot simply become the literal empress in Ottoman Empire), Kösem was also a Haseki Sultan, and there were many other Haseki women in the palace.

In reality Hurrem sultan is loved Son so much.... Kusem sultan is greedy of power and killed own son all of die because of death once Powerful Sultan Murad Han told you are sick women you danger of I sorry my english not right sorry.......... But what do you say my god! What kind of stupid things are those? 😐 Kösem sultan didn't kill Sultan Murad, he died because of alcohol. About Ibrahim, he was crazy and it was better that he was executed and buried like a sultan than that he was murdered in a humiliating way like Sultan Osman. Besides, Suleiman killed two of his sons, but no one says anything, right? He was a sultan and had to think as a sultan rather than as a father. Sultana Kösem was a leader and regent and she should think as such, when an entire people and an Empire depends on you, you cannot think with your heart, but with your head and that is what Kösem did, she thought of what was best for the Empire, as well as the other sultans who also did it..
