Power outages are something people don't think about when looking for places to live. My mom bought a house 10 minutes away from me and her neighborhood always loses power while I rarely do.
I live in FL, so I'm pretty used to hurricanes, but the last neighborhood I lived in had the electricity underground, so no matter how bad it got, I never lost electricity. Now I'm back in the country and the electricity is the first to go. It's too hot for that kind of shit, so I'm glad beryl did not come through here. I hope everyone else gets through it ok. 💜

Oh no! I left New Orleans Saturday coming back to Dallas. I figured storm-related delays, cancellations & rerouting would occur. Glad you're safe. All of my Houston relatives are still w/o power.

I think Phaedra stays out of drama and keeps her life quiet because of what happened in the past on RHOA with her. She would be boring if she came back, she did nothing on girls trip too, it’s almost like she’s afraid of getting heat again
This is such a nightmare! Here I am Day 4 (Thursday) and still have no electricity in my neighborhood, I work from home and all food had to be thrown away. It’s so frustrating.. praying we get some lights soon❤ Pray for us and the kids ❤️
Baybeee I was living in NY when Hurricane Sandy hit and in Long Island was no joke!!! It was in Nov 2012 and it was so cold. My ex hubs had electricity in Queens and I sent our daughter to him with the dog. Then I got on the next thing smoking to Bermuda as I had already had a ticket 🤭fast forward, Bermuda is also the hurricane central but the houses are built different (concrete block) and when the electricity goes out it may be a day or two but the infrastructure is so different here, they don’t play around. Clean up starts immediately but then again this island is only 21 miles long.

Phaedra had the best, memorable reads in RHOA next to Nene and Kenya. She just isn't in the right setting in MTM because it's mostly (not all) a group of upscale educated black women. RHOA is mostly media personalities that don't mind getting gutta and going low. I think for Phaedra to perform well, she needs to be in the right setting with the right opponents.
Where I currently live I never been without power no more than 1(one) hour unless it was some kind of city planned maintenance. A couple years ago we had a wind storm blow through here, I lost power for 72 hours. That same hurricane season on HSN I brought a portable power station with solar panels so I won’t be without Internet, refrigerator, or whatever I need electricity.
It is about policies. TX refuses to get on the national grid and allows ERCOT to grift its 90 million customers and won’t make them maintain the grid to standard. Too much like regulation. 🙄

In addition to wanting to be an IG kept woman, Porsha had to quit her jobs to escape the criticisms and to protect the lies. Porsha couldn't go back to RHOA or Dish Nation because she would be asked questions that she didn't want to answer. The amount of lies that porsha would have had to come up with and remember, lies that would eventually be exposed, would have made her look even worse. That's why porsha HAD to quit her jobs.
Seems like the government doesn't care. They know this is going to happen...sit back and let it happen and then ask for billions of dollars in disaster relief after it happens...to go into the pockets of the politicians just to let it happen again. JMO though.
