2021 trip to Hurricane Creek Trail and some Max Patch road travel. We weren’t entirely sure what to expect from this trail but what happened at the beginning made the trip worth it.
@@RubiKidd06 I live about an hour from there! I live near Charlotte and also at WCU. Looking to fix up my TJ more soon than the spacer lift it has. It rides pretty crappy on roads like these. I have one pretty rough but beautiful road similar to this towards my apartment.Whenever I drove on it last it sounded like the tailgate was about to rattle off lol. I need to figure out how to get it tightened down better. Not sure if it is the latch or the fact that the rear tire doesn't touch the bump
I agree with your comments regarding folks that have something against airing down. Another one I hear is “I’m still in 2 wheel drive”. But why? Don’t you understand the technology?
The 2WD thing is ridiculous. We were on a fairly difficult trail this past year when a guy said he always does this particular trail in 2WD. I turned and walked away abruptly from the conversation. Nope, I don’t have time for that.😀😀😀
I don't air down unless I'm doing somewhat serious wheeling. I live @ the beach and see people stuck in the sand all the time and the number one question I get is "What do you air down to?". And my answer is "none". Not because I'm "bragging", which the way alot of people say it I totally get what your saying. On the "waiver" you have to sign to get access to the beach they emphasize the fact you should air down to 15psi. And alot these out of towners think it's a must. It's not. Not on most trails/terrains anyways. You are very much correct on the comfort side of it. Like day and night. I'm just too lazy to take the time and air back up. Plus if I wanted a comfortable ride I wouldn't drive a TJ. I dig your channel and especially your builds.
Wow Darren what a beautiful place. I need to make my way to you guys someday to go wheeling and sightseeing. Although we have some very beautiful mountains to explore here in Utah. Nice to see your wife and your poopers (Sorry, I don't know your dog's name) with you and Harley. Take care and catch you on your next video .
Just came across your channel. You have an awesome looking and performing Jeep. I have a 02 Sahara as a project. Do you have any videos explaining your complete build and cost?
Did Hurricane in my stock height and stock suspension 2018 Tacoma aired down to 25psi. I got through fine but there were definitely some areas that were challenging.for sure and it was fun.
I turned down that trial one year in my Tahoe but didn’t know if it was someone’s driveway or what do just turned around I’m from Alabama and just turned to see what was out there
@18:24 "A mall crawler can do this trail........ A jk guy was up through here". 😂 So darn funny that would make you think of a jk person, what's worse he was in a 4 dr limo bus! A maller could do this trail but they wouldn't, no f n pavement or a Starbucks around there. Anyway that's one awesome trail to take the family, especially this time of year.
You said Suzuki Method.....and although I was trained with the Suzuki Method in Violin as a small child and went on to also play the viola and cello, the only thing I thought of was "Suzuki Samauri? I would think they would be looking for a more difficult ride".... LoL
Hi guys. New subscriber here. Nice video. We're planning to make a trip to Hurricane Creek this week and was looking on info on the trail. Thanks for the heads up on trail entry. Cheers, ~Mike and Ester~
I heard they put up gates and plan to close the road permanently or seasonally… Was it open when u went? Did they have closure dates on the new gates out there?
