Helene is expected to reach the Big Bend region of Florida late Thursday as a Category 4 hurricane, according to the latest forecast track. Read more: www.wfla.com/w...
Ive seen storms leave nothing behind other than the slab of homes...leave boats thrown in the hills. Please leave if u will experience flooding and high winds. Check on the elderly and shelterless. Show caution and compassion.
We are all in Gods hands. I’m sincerely praying for those in Helene’s path. Homes can be rebuilt, lives ….you only get one. I call out Heavens angels to protect lives, animals, and all professional people who will be working overtime to keep people safe and out of harms way. Lord, America needs YOU now !!!!!!! 🙏🏻🔥🙌🏻🙌🏻❤️🔥🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻❤️🔥❤️🔥💯💯💯❤️🔥🫶🏼🫶🏼🫶🏼🫶🏼🫶🏼🦅🙌🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻
Unfortunately i have some experience with these storms living in Daytona..leave immediately dont play with this storm..its horrible listening to the sound of the wind.. Tallahassee is very hilly if thats a word lol but it has hills and flooding is very possible..i would leave Tallahassee..the university should tell them to leave
Seems to be the same track Michael took in 2018. Michael was in October which most hurricanes that hit Florida after September 10 take this track, since most of the rest stay far off land in the Atlantic.
Better safe than sorry, especially in an RV. ❤ stay safe everyone please. 🙏 yes it's a pain to leave home where you are comfortable but if you don't and wish you would have, it may be too late.
The storm surge affecting a long stretch of coast due to the movement parallel to the coast for so long may become the bigger impact than the category strength at landfall.
Don’t panic. Just try to get to a shelter maybe 10-20 miles inland. We’re going to be ok. Stay aware of what’s happening but do your best to evacuate inland if you’re able to.
Just remember, storm surge and flooding usually harms more than the wind, but the winds in a Cat 4 or 5 are no joke. If you live in a manufactured home or mobile home, the winds are more of an issue so pay attention and get out before it's too late.🙏❤
MY GOD ❤PROTECTION ON US , AND PLEASE BE AROUND US , AND PROTECT US TO BE SAFE 🙏AND EVERYONE🙏📿🙌📿🙌, THANK YOU 🙏 🙏 PEOPLE BE SAFE AND DRIVING SAFELY 🙏AND PRAYERS , AND PRAYERS , 🙏 PLEASE PRAY 🙏 TO THE LORD ❤TO PROTECT US FROM THE DANGERS,🙏AMEN 🙏🙌📿🙌📿📿📿🙏🙏🙏🙏

Gainesville is on route 441 just east of 75 north of Ocala and south of lake city. And pretty much 60 miles east to west of each coast. And located inland but has lots of water around as lakes rivers and streams. Probably just get rain and some wind there.
The westward movement is not good for Tallahassee, the eastern side of the storm is the 'dirty' side, and if they're lucky it will shift back to the east.
JB & ERIC...WFLA...THANK GOD FOR REAL HONEST PEOPLE!!! I used to be a senior service travel agent for years through 9/11!!! WHO YOU GONNA CALL??? THE GHOST BUSTERS??

Keep windows shut tight and locked, stay away from the windows if they're not impact glass. Hopefully you have shutters or 5/8 or thicker plywood covered them. Better to be safe than sorry and once a window breaks and the wind is blowing 100mph, the building will have pressure inside and it can tear out the ceiling. So, when air hits the building square on the wall outside it's directed up into the sofit which most homes have a vented attic so that's where the pressure can cause damage. Keep them locked and if you're doors open in, I'd get something heavy to put in front or a vehicle to block wind including your garage door if you have one, don't open during the storm if you're in the path..May God keep you safe
