Hurricane Michael was down played to be a cat 2 or worst a 3 at landfall it hit cat 5. As soon as I saw this storm 5 days ago and their projections of cat 2 I assume cat 4+.
As you said, the models were calling it Cat 2 almost a week ago, but the modeling underestimates the strength when looking at a storm beyond 3 days or so. Given global warming, with current modeling, add +1 to +2 to the predicted strength, especially when a storm is expected to wade through warm waters. Unless these storms see a lot of shear, rapid intensification is the new norm.
Yikes! Having gone through the 2005 hurricane season in Florida, which included Katrina, this monster is taking form just like she did! Good luck, folks! You're going to need it!
Psalm 91:1-2 “Whoever dwells in the shelter of the Most High will rest in the shadow of the Almighty. I will say of the Lord, “He is my refuge and my fortress, my God, in whom I trust.”
We're you anywhere near Michael? It was like a giant tornado mowed a path inland. As Ron White said "it's not about the wind speed it's about what's being blown by the wind."
His haircut tells me all that i need to know about him ... biden/ harris voter. 😂😂😂😂 Edit, did he mention that Florida went 9 or 10 years without a direct hit from a hurricane in this Century????? Funny how they pick and choose. But what he said about what happened in the early 1900s just goes to show that weather is different all of the time. It's basically non predictable.
What in the actual hell does him being a Harris voter (whether he is or not) have to do with him reporting on the weather situation? And why does Florida not being hit by a Hurricane for however many years - means climate change isn't real and it's just normal weather patterns that can't be predicted (even though they can be predicated, quite well in fact)?
Exactly 😂😂😂😂😂 gee ,you would think by now the hurricanes should be pushing 300, 400 , 500 miles an hour . Yet they still are in the same speed range since wind speed has been accurate to tell. Which of course hasn't been that long.
@@Musicman-y7vyall been hit by a “one in a generation” storm every year for the past 5 years but sure climate change isn’t real. Maybe when Tampa, Miami and Jacksonville are permanently underwater yall can say it was real this whole time
We getting our first cat 6 with this one 🔥🔥🔥 Edit: just a joke but it could actually be stronger then katrina cause Gulf of Mexico its gonna go through that hot water for about 1 day so it might be stronger then ian or katrina
Do you all have landfall records for 1400s? How bout 1500s? 1600s? 1700s? "in the age of climate change" ironically record low hurricanes this season... so they then they said "that's climate change, we said the storms would get less frequent BUT much stronger!" Did you? Really?
Hurricane Camille... 1969 one of the strongest hurricanes ever . Long before the Climate Crisis Monster. 1936 a Cat 3 hit Long Island and NYC , 13 feet of flood water in parts of NYC . These people keep pushing nonsense.
There are landfall records that go back to around 1850 or so. Those are used and counted because that's when we started making records that could be accurate enough (for the time) and kept in more and more advanced ways. And where did you get this is a "record low hurricanes this season" from? We've had 8 named storms as of now - and hurricane season ends November 30th, it's only September 25th. And there are reasons why this season has been slow to get going storm wise. If you looked into it instead of being a climate change denier you'd understand it more.
@@thomasjamesbailey1209as they have since we started recording hurricanes. Mind you, we’ve only been able to accurately measure winds of hurricanes only the last 50 years.
@@thomasjamesbailey1209 this was also supposed to be a year with a record amount of storms, just like last year was supposed to. The fact is that weather is constantly changing and it’s hubris to think we have as much of an affect on it as the media would make you think. Record keeping only goes back so far. Stop buying into the fearmongering. Fear clouds your judgement and makes you easily persuadable.
@@keanudarkly9497 He speaks of "the age of climate change" as if climate has not been constantly changing for even, long before humans even existed. He is clearly advocating for his global equity project. While I could suggest reading a book to both you and him, common sense may not necessarily be gained from those sources. Have a nice life.
@alp.9775 The climate has been changing. I don't necessarily subscribe to the reasons that have been shoved down our throats by those "in the know," 🤣🤣 BUT the climate in the United States has changed over the past 50 years.
@jlakatos524 the climate is always changing. What I hate most about climate change propaganda is that it sucks virtually all attention away from real environmental issues, of which there are plenty, and plenty that conservatives and liberals can agree on
