We were driving a little before this, and people were driving really fast. Stupid. Our van is in the video right by the old island styles t shirt shop. Was blessed being able to work this day considering the north bridge was closed.
Looks like I really lucked out. I'm here on vacation in Siesta Key and everything is perfectly normal. The weather has been perfect. Looks like I dodged a bullet.
@annreiter284 that is so sad! All those high-rise vacation homes tend to steal its beauty! I was there about 2 years ago, and I thought the beaches were beautiful. The white quarts sand is nothing like our dirty sand on the Oregon coast!
@@nancyferguson2750 the beach has been renourished so many times it's not the same sand. I live in the area and will not go to Siesta, I have other favorite beaches I go to..much nicer less crowded...
@annreiter284 to me, it was paradise! I hadn't been there before. I have a friend that lives on the key. He has all his life. Moved there when there was only a handful of homes. Sometimes, I wish we could stop progress and take time to appreciate what we have. My city in Oregon was once just a sleepy town. Now Amazon is taking it over. Have a blessed week!
This is news for someone that's never be out on Siesta Key that knows nothing about the area but wants to make money out of it whenever there's a storm it affects the gulf it affects Siesta Key in the village stupid to build there and then expect the county or the government to help them it's all getting so old
It was never meant for anything. People keep forgetting that Florida is nothing but marshlands, wetlands, and swamps with a bunch of buildings and homes on top of it. Sooner or later (most likely sooner) it’s all gonna be completely underwater or at least back to its original swamp environment, that it was before Florida built everything on top.
