Why should people have to vote on whether people get help or not? It shouldn't even be a voting matter, it should be mandatory that the government helps people after a natural disaster. Fema gets their $ from the government, the government sent billion overseas, why are they waiting for FEMA to do everything>...What sense does that make? They were never gonna do everything in their power to help people regardless, look at Hurricane Katrina, Helene, etc. They are not gonna give FL $6 billion regardless like they do those foreigners.

People will never understand being trapped by weather until it happens to them. It’s really no joke. From my experience in the past, the storms they said would be so bad usually were not as bad as expected and the ones they didn’t predict would be bad, were. Hoping that is true with Milton.

Pompeii couldn't predict a volcano eruption ( it also happened in 79 CE so..) and you can't predict a plane crash, and the dinosaurs couldn't predict their fate either... Those are spontaneous events. A hurricane brewing in the gulf for days is not spontaneous... they seen this coming for many days, they should have been preparing then. This country has the power to help another country when they need it but when it comes to their own its nothing but excuses. We have the tech to predict the strength and the path of the hurricane, and they still didn't do anything until the last min. 🙄
