LIVE: Hurricane Milton could pose a threat to Florida by the middle of the week, according to the National Hurricane Center. The NHC forecast calls for Milton to make landfall in Florida on Wednesday. Milton continues to rapidly intensify with damaging winds, life-threatening storm surge and torrential rain. Hurricane Milton is forecast to turn to the east north-east across the central Gulf of Mexico. Forecasters say Milton could make landfall around the Tampa area as a Category 3 hurricane.
