I miss the original ideas that pinball used to do with their machines. Now all machines made by Stern Pinball are linked to a particular media franchise, instead of being a unique idea that's fun to play. I am sure an independent designer will come along soon to hopefully give us something fresh in the pinball world, or us pinball players are doomed to stay with the boredom of Stern machines until they go out of business.
This is my favorite pinball machine. I must have dumped $100 worth of quarters in this machine back in 1991 and I bought the machine in 1997. Now my 5 year old daughter in 2009 is enjoying this machine as much as I did back in the day. Long Live Hurricane! You can get the most points by riding the comet with your last ball on Multi-Ball. Sometimes you can get 5 million a ride! Woot!
Thanks for uploading this. Cyclone was my favorite pin growing up and I only got to play comet a few times. I just found out today there was a 3rd pin in the comet trilogy, never even heard of this! Looks awesome
Thanks for posting these old Williams Promo vids! Do you know if there was an Original High-Speed Promo video? I own it and would like to upload it to my channel or at least take a look at it since I do own the pin. :)
In my opinion, this game reminds me too much of a circus. You have jugglers, carnival barkers, and you have clowns. It's called Hurricane, but yet so much is based on not the roller coaster, but other stuff. In my opinion, I think it would have been better if was called something Amusement Park, and you have the Ferris Wheel like they do (You only need one.), have the roller coaster, and have some other rides like swings, and you could have a game but not so annoying as that guy.
