On November 19th, Husain Haqqani, Pakistani diplomat and author of "Magnificent Delusions: Pakistan, the United States, and an Epic History of Misunderstanding", spoke at IPI about the destabilizing effect this fraught relationship has on the rest of the world.
This timely book argues that the two countries are not just merely at odds. Until today, he writes, "each believes it can play the other, with sometimes absurd, sometimes tragic results."
