Fogerty was more concerned with speaking over him than letting him speak for any length of time. It's a well used tactic that makes the person talking unsettled. Shame on her employing this on such an important topic. We, the UK public, deserve a much better MSM than we have got.

Given her Irish heritage I have been regularly amazed at her narrative every time she has discussed the situation in Gaza. As the ambassador said, she thinks the history began on 7th October. James O’Brien was also taking this stance but I think he has changed after hearing from callers.

Hamas could've attacked just the Israeli military instead of civilians. This whole issue has to do with colonialism, opression and apharteid.

This is seriously getting out of hand… 100 fu*king days and 30,000 massacres, yet STILL you ask about the condemnation of a resistance group, who after 75years of persecution, hostility degradation, disregard etc towards them and their families have managed to rise up and put up a fight worthy of praise, demonstrative of fortitude. If you actually had an idea of the strength of these people you’d realise how petty we are in our comfort zones. I also think that these basic, bottom tier ‘journalists’ need to read more, study subjects, that way you may be able to form an opinion of your own instead of a tabloid one! And if not, become a volunteer, no one should be paid to perform as badly as this!

Younger educated journalists are needed. These old, pro-Israel personalities should retire and start educating themselves on history and analyse their moral compass during their retirement.

On October 6th and many years before, there were thousands of Palestinians hostages including children hostages sitting in prison, their homes raided and terrorized at random.

She is very biased towards the Israel position. And she will not come of that position. This guy is not Hamas. He is genuinely representing the plight his people are suffering through. The Israeli government has gone way beyond what is reasonable as a response and is now just murdering innocent Palestinians..

It's interesting how they've told you so many times "Israel has the right to self defence at all costs against the agressor" and then you look into the conflict a little deeper (not even that deep) and you learn Israel is actually the agressor, you understand according to their own mindframe Hamas had the right to defend themselves against the agressors at all costs. When Israel kills indiscreminately it's selfdefence, when the Palestinians it's barbarism (I say it's barbarism in both cases, just to be clear), when hamas takes 200-something hostages -its a warcrime, when Israel does the same with thousands of Palestinians its admibistrative detension. Stop asking that hamas question, the more you ask the more people think about it and nobody's going to like the final answer.

I've said before that I don't know this perfectly patient, polite and reasonable man maintains any kind of composure in the face of the barrage of pro-Israeli questioning he has endured since the incident on 7 October. It makes me sick to hear this woman, who calls herself a journalist, treat him as if he and he alone is responsible for Hamas' actions. She's so obsessed with being 'balanced' that she's completely lost sight of the horrific reality of what is happening now.

I can't imagine what it must be like being palestinian and hearing the same question for the millionth time. Not only do palestinians have to audition for their empathy, but they have to prove they are human beings and not terrorists by comdemning Hamas. We have reached 101 days Ms. Shelagh. I've purposely avoided her clips here for months as a result, and watching this I had to double-check if I was watching something from Jan 2024 and not from Oct or Nov 2023, because it doesn't appear she's listened to or heard anything from the Palestinian side in this whole time, and she's continuously and relentlessly badgering her guest. If I were Husam Zomlot I would be wholly unwilling to appear on her show.

This interview is a prime example of false humanity and empathy. Theres an underlying lack of empathy for the Palestinians in this interview. Why did Hamas attack on October 7th? How many people were killed? How many have been killed by Israel since?
