My partner of 34 1/2 years has made it clear he will not help me and that he has had enough. I think he is trying to prevent my recovery as some act of revenge because I couldn’t perform the way I did before I became disabled. When he was disabled for 4 months I took care of him 24/7 in a hospital bed in my living room because I worked out of my home office 12-16 hours a day and because I loved him. I never resented it. That’s what a spouse does when you love someone. But, this is what he swore he’d do when angry to get me back when I could no longer give him my best physically and financially because of my disability. I thought he said it out of anger because he would revert to being affectionate as if nothing ever happened an hour later. Not any more. I’m afraid my last resort is to let the social worker come here and see this house which is unhealthy and disgusting but I have been unable to do anything about that for several years. He will be arrested for elder abuse which the therapist we were seeing for couples therapy warned him about but he knows I’m not a person who wants revenge but I’m afraid he will let me die and I can’t allow that. This is unimaginably terrible and I have no support system and I’m really scared.

Usually, a man who cheats, abuses, or neglects a woman ends up alone or with the wrong person.

If I'm being completely honest I wouldn't had abandoned my wife or my husband just because th they were sick especially when they were always there for me I couldn't then you have to also consider the fact the person that you cheated on him with may not be person you thought they were so you left them for that new person so I'm not surprised you didn't take him back.

Now this Guy was very WRONG ! The way he had TREATED his Wife, He Should haved Help and Cared for her, But NO her Condition was just Bad and Two Much for Him.
