You hear it all the time “we’re building a home” or “we built our dream home”…but what they mean is “we hired someone to build us our dream home”! When I say “we are building our DIY Dream Home”, I mean that we are literally and physically building our DIY Dream Home ourselves, as a family, the four of us….my husband and myself, and our two teenage kiddos!
Five years ago we decided to walk away from our dream job, sell our home, and move back to our hometown to raise our children near our family that we love and missed so much. We purchased vacant land and designed and built our DIY Cottage from scratch DIY style for only $70k with the hopes to one day build our Dream Home together on our land.
Fast forward and here we are... We're building our DIY dream home, from the ground up, together as a family!
