When I watched this movie on Netflix some time ago, I made a cup of coco to enjoy the movie, when the movie ended, it was ice-cold and completely untouched Tense movie

Hush is fab. Mike Flanagan is a terrfic filmmaker. Check out Gerald's Game as well which is brilliant! He even managed to make a good sequel to the terrible Ouija movie.

That’s the most pivotal scene in the movie to me, because even I know if you see the killers case your life is forfeit. That moment made the movie draw me.

Gerald's Game is so good! I rewatched it so many times - Mike Flanagan's direction and Carla's acting, especially when it comes to monologues, makes the entire thing stellar.

What I loved about this movie was that they made her human, just a regular person. A lot of times, when people with disabilities are in movies that's the main focus and they're only their disability and that's it. I loved your reaction when we see the guy killing her with a rock.

I look very this movie! still kicking myself at the fact I watched Hush at least 3 times before THOHH came out and I didn't recognize her in the slightest!!

Great one Sith ;) Yes, Kate's performance and Mike Flanagan the great made everything work out. I would really recommend you "Gerald's Game" (Carla Gugino aka "Olivia" is amazing in it) and Oculus. Overall, this guy is a master of suspense, cinematography and directing people. And btw, unrelated to this director, but the show "The Terror". Masterpiece.

i saw this early on when it was first out and i LOVED the concept because I am about 80% deaf myself. Without my hearing aid in, I hear things like vacuums if really close to my ear for example. It's creepy and yet so cool that this movie had a main deaf character with this movie being portrayed so well! I had no idea who director is and turns out they did Gerald's Game too? Another movie I enjoyed immensely and it makes sense as there are a few tropes used again which you will find out if you do a future reaction to Gerald's Game. I liked your reaction and post-movie views

Found this movie after enjoying Mike Flanagans other stuff, more recently - Midnight Mass. In this film, she is actually writing the books (midnight mass) and says the character names so shows how long Mike had been planning Midnight mass. Great film, love how he re-uses the same actors also.

This is the film that made me get the hots for Kate Siegel and John Gallagher Jr❤️❤️❤️ After meeting John I couldn't believe how convincing he still is as a killer in Hush because he's the most gentle dude.

Great reaction, I watched Hush awhile back and loved it. I initially wondered why Theo looked so familiar to me in THoHH until I remembered I had first seen her in Hush lol. If you continue to do movies like this I'd recommend The Invitation on Netflix if you haven't seen it already. It's not Mike Flanagan's work but I thought it was good.

I think it's remarkable that Flanagan uses the same actors and actresses in each of his works. Obviously Kate Siegel is his wife but it really demonstrates the faith that the other actors have in him, and that he has for them.

I am surprised that this movie is sooo anderrated. Amazing movie. Random request : I really hope that you react to a series called DARK on Netflix. If you liked The haunting of hill house, you will like this. It is not about ghosts or anything, but the vibe and the atmosphere are soooo close. It's a German show so I recommend that you watch it with subtitle because the Dub version sucks big time.

You should check out Gerald's Game if you get a chance. Stephen King's novel was practically tailor-made for Mike Flanagan's direction. It includes similar storytelling elements as both Hill House and Hush.

Good film, but had its weak points, such as when killer is smashing her friend into the glass doors, she would have felt some vibrations. They had just explained the reason for the fire alarm volume.

I have mixed feelings about Hush. On the one hand, I love the story, the acting, and the how well done the progression of tension is. On the other hand, I work at a school for the deaf and I would have loved to see a deaf actress in the role since that kind of representation in film is something they have been working on for a long time (although I LOVE Kate and think she does a tremendous job. Her signs themselves were accurate enough, but the ASL gloss sentence structure needed work. Although so does mine). You should definitely do Ouija and Oculus! Both Shirley actresses are in it, along with actor who plays the younger Hugh Crain are in Ouija and the actor who plays the character Shirley has an affair with (James Lafferty) as well as Kate Siegel are in Oculus. Gerald's Game too - with Carla Gugino, Kate, Henry Thomas, and a few other Hill House actors - is good too.
