Good for you wearing those pants! 20+ years of bucking, never had a incident... I bought some saw pants, and a few weeks after, a freak situation caused the cutting edge to come across my knee. Damn glad I bought those pants!! Worth every penny!
"Get some food". I did a similar thing at 7/11. Pulled up, saw a guy I recognised from the area, homeless dude sitting outside the store. He didn't ask for anything but I wanted to help, lend a hand, be thoughtful. When at the counter I see they had a special on chicken tenders, potato wedges etc. I paid for a couple things & when I got outside I told him to go see the cashier & tell her what you want from the specials, it's paid for. He looked at me like it was a joke or I was harassing him perhaps. I assured him & got in my vehicle as he walked in the store. Saw him talk to the cashier then look around at me in my vehicle, still with a confuzzled look on his face. That look was priceless!

I got a 562xp...love that thing to pieces! That's my big saw here in SE WI. My two big saws are 460 Rancher and 562xp both with 20" usually. Sometimes 24".
Ah! Minute 18:15 good to see your son is happy and healthy Buckin’! BC powersaw love from the East Kootenay straight to Cedar! Gonna run a 562 in the bush this week. Stoked!! Love to your fam and Mr. Walker too.
Power saw pants folks .!!! Great work buckin. Ppl get hurt every day crossing the street. You are not getting anyone hurt, you INSPYR greatness and love. Keeep being YOU 💪🏻🪓🦾🎯🖤💛
Paying attention to your videos, your knowledge share is wonderful, it made me go cut down some leaners near the house with confidence. All wonderful and I thank you for the advice. Your attitude is a bright light, if more people had it, the world would be a brighter and better place. God blessed you my friend and thank you.
Clogger pants are awesome and the chaps they make are awesome too worth every penny. And Donny ported a 562 for me last summer love the saw. And I agree the full wrap handle makes it hard to fuel up for sure.
Hey bucken ive got a question",i personally never seen one of these tool's",what are they called.? I will be geting one really soon",makes a big difference in keeping chain rolling flat and straight.
Yesterday I gave the guy who works at the recycling center a truck load of ash. 6’ bed. He was taking home paper products to burn in his stove last winter. I don’t sell firewood anyway but I have about 3 years of supply.
That awesome what you do out and about your videos bring a smile to my face and at my age it does take something good to make that happen have a great day my friend
I grew up running saws with my grandpa. At one time we had enough wood cut and split to last 30 winters keeping a MN farmhouse 85 degrees all winter long. Safety gear included steel toe boots ... that's about it. You learned how to "be rugged" as grandpa used to say .... by 13 years old you knew how to squint just right so the saw chips stayed out of your eyes lol. I'm 40 now ... still have all my eyes, fingers, toes, arms, and legs. All the safety gear in the world doesn't make up for common sense and planning ahead. I do recommend a pair of safety glasses these days ... and spend the time to keep them clean when working. Regardless, the best safety gear you can own is in your skull between your ears. If you have a 4' diameter oak tree come down on you, that fancy hardhat and face shield is only going to be used to contain the mess so the authorities knew it was you. Plan ahead and think!
Friend ! I have tried my hand at squeezing bars with the bar tool. Who would have guessed a tool would be so readily available right at my own bench to correct the over squeezed condition? Excellent suggestion. Always a lesson to be learned, especially coming from the "Buckin'....". Well done! Now back to the ~ SHOW ~
Hi Billy!!😀😀 I was surprised that you didn't just a loop of. 63 gauge Stihl .325 chain. I've been running it for years on my MS 460's and all I can get from Stihl is. 63 gauge chain. I just love how smooth and fast it cuts on a 70 plus cc saw. Unless it's over 80 degrees Fahrenheit, I always wear my chaps. That way your pants don't wear out because they will outlast 40 pairs of jeans or more. I have never cut them but there is always that slim chance it could happen. I would much rather cut my chaps than have to go to the hospital and be laid up for a while from a bad cut. Take care my friend!!😀😀 Logger Al
Glad to see the safety glasses protecting your hair! I'm sure your hair will look good when you end up in the ER with saw chips in your eye! DUDE! You're smarter than that.
I'm going to cut the sleeves off all my shirts cause a guy I saw on the internet did it. HAHAHA. I dont' get how people think that it's the fault of someone online if someone does something stupid in real life and hurts themselves. Good reminder to be safe though. I love my 562XP. I've got all of the 5 series XP's and I have to say, I grab my 562 more often then the others. If all I'm doing is limbing the 550XP Mk2 is hard to beat, and for bigger stuff the 572's awesome. But for a bit of everything, when I'm in the woods with only 1, the 562's my go to.
Good Thursday to ya Buckin n tha fam. Message was on point. Welcome to all of the army. To the new subscribers, welcome. Enjoy, Be kind and get after that gullet.
Happy Canada Day 🇨🇦 Buckin. Yes sir the .325 chain makes a big difference, I changed from a 3/8 50 to .325 50 on my ms 260 world of difference. Be safe.
Another thing I found with the 562 it's a really good idea to Port out the muffler it helps get a lot of the heat out and that motor will flows so much better
Hi Billy Ray we are Suppose to live in a world of Choices My choice is mine your choice is yours It's not The Choice of other's Love what you doing Billy Ray awesome Videos
I have the Jonsered equivalent 2260 and as you said it is a great limbing saw. I've used it on my logging job to limb and buck, also trim truck's. Most of the time it rides in my log truck to trim anything unexpected that any mill might complain about. Twenty inch bar and it does the job, small and light.
592xp would be fun to watch you run. And your 266 is on the way!!!!! Really excited to see you put that saw to work. Tinnman did some awesome work on that saw. Just fired my l65 for the first time since its build. L65 cylinder, 365 pop up piston, 268 carb, muffler is a work In progress, did some nice port work. Still have some work to do with the odds and ends but man alive shes got a nasty crackle to her. Gonna be a fun old saw. Thanks for all the content Buckin, look forward to watching your video everyday!
I run the 562 all more than any saw. Thanks for the video. Also dont wear the chaps enough. New guys are always folling my every move, ill work on this with you!
Buckin, every time I've tried bringing an over-wide bar down to run a chain with a narrower gauge, I've found that the chain still wobbles unacceptably. The reason, I think is, that the only part of bar you change is the lip or top of the groove. The bottom is still milled to the wider measurement. If you were to cut the bar you would see an A shaped slot. This lets the bottom of drive links slop side to side. Yes, it's nit-picky, but it's true. This is all just my opinion. Best wishes!!! PS.... Ive also found that the slot after its re-formed, tends to collect more crud as the edge is narrower than the bottom of the groove and doesn't self clean as well. Keep an eye on yours and see if you notice that. I do close the rails on my bars as regular maintenance, but I try to stay away from modifying gauge widths. Thanks so much for your videos. I truly enjoy them!!!!
Buckin your a diamond 💎 for u to just shout someone over here's cash well we need more people like u in the world. Love ya brother. Stay safe btw loving the syftey speaks gonna get myself pair them. U ship Scotland UK🏴
@@kennethstephens8046 yeah and the only difference in the cylinders is the transfer covers from what I've been able to dig up. And the stuffers on the crank you get with the xp. Being a stihl guy I've been eyeballing the new to the US, standard carb version ms661. There's no dealer support for husky in my AO.
Oh, I have a pair of chainsaw chaps and wear them. I don't have any long bar saws, mine are 20" or shorter. Here in the northeast it seems unless your a pro most bars are 20" or shorter . This means more kneeling in the dirt and mud, also i use them for weedwacking. It really saves the wear and tear on your real pants. I also always wear the hat, and muffs, and shield. I have the worst luck and would always have chips in my face.
Love the channel, subscriber for over a year. I love running saws and cutting wood. I definitely agree, I don't like the design of the handle either. Just an educated guess that they made it like that for ambidextrous or left handed people so they have a handle grip. Take care Buckin'.
I run a 562xp and a 572xp. I love the power to weight ratio. mine is stock and I need a muffler I KNOW it choked out. once you start running that saw you will start to love it. The new saws don't run like the 372"s its different.
Running 3/8" chain? Only ask cause I been going back and forth on buying a 572 or 562 for bucking some bigger pennsylvania hardwood. (Cherry- maple- oak mostly) Like the weight/price of the 62, but don't want to be disappointed running 28" bar to save my knees and back and wish I'd got the 72 instead
@simd510 actually I went with an Echo 7310p. Nothing else was really in stock post pandemic. I've been thrilled with it, balances perfect with a 28" sugihara and pulls full house 3/8 in hardwood without a care. It may be a hair slower on a big log, but it's super reliable, no electronics I can't tune, built solid (metal not plastic) and starts on second pull every time. Current pricing I'm not up on, but at the time it was 25 percent less money than a 572 or stihl 462. Now I may make a different choice based on price 572/462, but wouldn't trade the Echo for a 562 unless it was to run a shorter bar.
Great to see you trying out the dark side with the 562xp! In your comments there are questions about oiling, I run a 28 on mine with the oiler all the way up and it oils very well. It spits out oil like a 372 so it should oil a 32 no problem.
Oh man, I'm excited to see what ya think of that power saw! In my experience it's the best power to weight of any stock saw I've ran, I run a 28" bar on those. Agree with ya on the 3/4 wrap handle for fueling, seems really bad on that saw in particular. 🤨 Hope everyone's having a great day, spread the love and kindness!
Brady Watcherson some would counter that that honor goes to the 462. But not in that price range. I think maybe the 562 is the best power for the CCs, weight, and price.
The clutch has a marking with an arrow that shows "off ->", it has a wedge in it for you to put a flathead screwdriver or tool of your liking and whack with a mallet and it pops right off. Visible above your thumb at the 2:21 mark.
Hello, Buckin Army-I haven't commented in a few videos. Very informative like usual, Buckin you're doing a great job of educating your viewers. I'm still not working, but life takes care of us. In closing be Kind like Buckin always says.
Wear your saw pants they are cool just like nice guys finish first. I love my saw pants. Nice saw Buckin and great work on the bar brother. SAW BRITCHES ARE CHEAPER THAN STITCHES. LOVE YA ALL. 🌲❤🌲✊🪓
One can do as they want and I do play from time to time without cutting pants but I do feel a bit nekkid with out them and wear them when serious about cutting, This old codger does not wear Crocs cutting or not.
Back when we was growing up as a young boy I dnt think they even had power saw pants we were just more aware but now they have them u better just us them 👍👍
Billy i definitely hear yah and agree with you. Because the muffler did choke it out but other than that i think it's a decent saw especially running 32 inch bar.
Hi Buckin. Just to let you know I have the husky 560xp which is the factory option for .325 sprocket and chain and the 562 is with the 3/8 sprocket and chain. Just love the videos and learnt many things from you, just fantastic.
power saw pants...... whats next safety glasses :) joking - you know what your doing...love all your vids - learning a lot! Thank you!!! BTW we are about the same age and I am totally new to power saws really...taking it slow.
Thats the husky hot start option! I run the 562xp and the 572xp. The 62, after numerous issues, blew the plug out. After that fix it no longer idles on its own. Both run 32 bars with xcut chains. The 72 is heavy but violent, my go to!
great saw , i got my wife one because she wanted to lern to use a chain saw , she has all the safety stuff because i would not let her use a saw without it so in turn i had to get all the safety stuff as well ( lead by example)heheh but it is a good thing , cutting aussie hard woods is tough on saw's and people as well for that matter but i think you will be impressed with the 562xp , i know i am.
After a couple of recent close calls as well as lots of subscribers giving me an earfull this last weekend I got a pair of chaps, a helmet with screen and earmuffs. Sure they are all a pain in the rear but they are just smart. a couple hundred dollars in safety gear is a thousand times cheaper than 1 ER visit.
