I think holding off on this treatment was a good idea until your vet does a liver assessment test and you consult with him/her. If all looks and goes well there you can revisit the procedure with the specialist. Key was a very good boy. I think he deserves some waffles. Don't you think so Jodie? Key is absolutely beyond adorable! He always makes me smile and laugh and brightens my day everytime I watch his videos. Key's like I've already done this once, do I have to do it again. A nap would be far easier & you explain. I can chip in with bits that you miss out, OK. I think you made the right choice to put a temporary hold on the procedures & go back to your own vet & get a liver function test for Key. Key ❤ is so sweet & fun to watch - it was a very useful session for stance tests and blood test ps (liver to be monitored) and assessment and multiple diagnoses and all the good INFO you got - great vet! So whatever you decide, Jodie, after testing his liver more thoroughly and perhaps going back to Somerset for X-Rays and more precise diagnoses - will be best for you & Key! Hi Key, Jodie & Nan👋🏼 I hope this finds you all well, I am sorry the appointment didn't yield any changes. I know it's so hard to drive a way to come home with nothing new, BUT I am glad you didn't go through with it. I won't ramble with my reasons as I too would do ANYTHING for my dogs. (And God help anyone butting in with their 2 cents😂) I wish I had better words to offer, but I was so extremely impressed with you vet's honesty, I will say that, many vets here in the states (NOT ALL, but many) will say one thing and it ends up being a return visit type thing. I like to think I'm creaive, so if I think up anything that could help Sir Key, I will let you guys know. I'm happy to see that everyone got home safely + some good info about K'eyush's leg. I love to watch your videos... I must admit I don't understand why you Brits call what I know as an Alaskan Malamute a husky... I've had 4 Mals over the last 40 yrs... my third Mal had alopicea x like Phil had... it broke my heart to see Phil at the same time when he went out in the snow for one of his last outings... he was very happy... at the same time he knew he needed to go back inside... it was very touching... my 4th Mal is what is referred to in the states... the lower 48 as a Giant Mal... he's 4" inches or some 126 mm taller than my previous 3 mals... years ago when in Anchorage i first saw giant mals that were some 200 lbs in training for sled dog racing...i had no idea Mals could be so large... have you looked into urban mushing for your guys as a form of exercise? anyway thank you for the wonderful videos... My guy loves to listen to your Mal...i think he is named Teddy...
