The Husky Band pays tribute to all the legendary musicians that have been inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. Today, they are joined by the drummer/songwriter for the British Rock band Yes and 2017 Hall of Fame inductee, Alan White!
They are led onto the field by drum majors Zach Baisch and Chris Laranang, with Feature Twirler Krissy Terwilliger. Directed by Dr. J. Brad McDavid, and Assistant Directors Doug Morin and Shayna Stahl. Announcer Frazer Cook.

I wish the NFL wpuld play halftime shows with college marching bands. I'm a massive Yes/Alan White fan (RIP), but I'd love to see that at halftime. I guess Goodell doesn't make enough $$ off it... And the band director (maybe it's computerized nowadays) deserves an award for working out these formations!

...and they did not play Owner..........thank you!!....a little wierd though that they were honering Alan for be inducted into the HOF and they played Roundabout....that he did not even play on the record!

Good point, except that by now, Alan has played it about 70x more often than Bruford ever did.

BUT Not as Well as Bruford played it.....Don't misunderstand, (as a Huge YES fan) I love Alan, but Bruford is The Man !!

@@matthewarnold5550 Bruford expanded his musical vocabulary much more in his post Yes activities and not just King Crimson but with his own band Bruford, UK, the albums with Moraz, Earthworks, etc etc.

Owner was their biggest pop hit anyway. I'm surprised they didn't play it too but glad they didn't. It's not a song that really represents the essence of what the band was all about. Those who aren't prog fans wouldn't understand why someone would complain about that though. Lol.

Yes ...and plastic ono band!!!

3:30. Well, there's a first. Separate Ways without a keyboard....lol. Maybe it's not possible on horns, but the real part is over twice as many notes. Took me forever to learn it, too. :) The YES logo is badass. Is he having trouble with the in-ear monitors? It seems like he can't hear very well. It doesn't sound as confident or relaxed as it does when the drummer can hear well.

You can kinda see he’s not prepared, his ears are on but with the size of the field and how this was put together he prolly didn’t have a lot of time. You can tell he started and the band didn’t start with him, they have 3 conductors on the field, Alan can’t rlly see them, it makes sense when you think abt it from that perspective. Also drumming in a leather jacket with your ears running down your front is uncomfortable

Ah he did fine! He was a God! I saw he and they live quite a few times, and they were, at their best, simply amazing. Plus a really nice man. ❤
