Sounds great. I ran mine(not a "G" though) two days ago, I didn't get a video because my RU-vid account was down. I'll get a video of it running soon though, fun little saws. Is yours all stock.
@@TheJonsberg mine has the base gasket delete(piston turned a couple thousands to set squish) and a little grinding and a muffler mod, fun saw in small green wood. Bummer is I cut a lot of dead wood for firewood and prefer my ported ms241 for jobs. I need to do some comparison videos.

Long time no see my friend, yes the 242 is a packet of dynamite 😀 I am still a novice when it comes to two stroke modifications, and I haven't figured out the timing bit of the equation yet, but hoping to get there soon.. Blessings
