Great video Donny, I like the style of you building a saw and telling us your thoughts on that saw. I couldn't tell but do you do a cylinder base cut? I see you run a OEM gasket. I am gathering parts now for my first Stihl build a MS 460. I am getting all OEM parts. Keep up the good work.
Do you think it is just about bad lots of seals and bearings or also problems with the design? 50cc class is very popular here in Finland, mine works fine but heard of these same problems. Some people have frustrated for 550 and bought 261. You regognize easily these guys because they have bar oil on the right trouser leg ad shoe...
I think it’s the cages of the bearings seperating then pushing seal out to leak and the design of seal on bearings I don’t like when seal on crank never a problem for years
There are not many people doing good port work in the UK I waited a while to get 550XP ported and I think it's hard to beat. I think it is almost as good as 346XP if it was under 5kg.
Oilers are coming back hard tonight Donny just called my local husky dealer kingston Ontario today about 562 mark 2 interested in always been Stihl man this would be first husky I’ve owned what’s your thoughts on 2023 562 mark 2 3.0 auto tune any problems I should be aware about Thanks Donny
Donny, if you catch this comment, what are your thoughts on running 100 octane low lead avgas in small engines. Ethanol free and long storage life, I can't see a downside.
Aside from the fact that it's highly likely that you'll breathe some percentage of the exhaust and have some contact with your skin exposing you to lead, and the fact that regular 87 octane fuel is plenty of octane for any chainsaw engine it's gonna work just fine.. getting ethanol free or simply removing the ethanol from regular pump gas is a far better option in my opinion
