Hey Hey. Thanks for watching!! Amazing!!! I was wondering if that could be accomplished! Great job and thanks for the compliment on doing the way I did. How did it go for you leaving the wheel on the bike? MotoHead 👍
Lol at the "I have tools up the butt" Thanks for sharing. I had to flip the tank up to remove the shock, and with a luggage rack it is definitely something I want to avoid if I can. Removing the wheel instead is way easier.
Watched a few of your posts on the 701 now, considering purchasing the 701, quick question how easy is it to adjust the rear preload setting on the back shock? Thanks in advance and keep up the posts they are great 👍
It’s easy for me. I put bike on a lift taking the weight off the bike. 4mm Allen T-handle will loosen the adjuster ring so I can use a screw driver and light hammer to tap lightly and spin the lock ring in the direction I want to make it softer or stiffer and allows for getting the correct sag height. The manual instructs to take off the shock but I don’t do it that way. Cheers and thanks for watching my vids. ❤️❗️ MotoHead
Can I ask what the reasoning of replacing this was? I have a ‘21 701 and I’ve wondered how easily these things get clogged. I thought there would be a lot more pieces you would have to remove. This was good to know.
Sorry for the late reply. I must have missed the notification or something. Yes. The reasoning is to make sure the filter doesn’t allow contamination into the fuel pump or injectors which is harmful to the engine. I’ll be doing this every 10k miles. I also added a Golan in line reusable filter that filters down to 1 micron that goes in place of the fuel screen which I’ve also produced a video for those that are interested. Thanks for posting and watching. Much appreciated! MotoHead
@@motohead5319 oh no I feel that. I was just curious in case you had any issues. Just something for me to look out for in the future. I’m glad these aren’t that big of a pain to get too.
