I did not manage to go over 500km maybe my wrist is to heavy. 495km is my record. I only manage to fill not more than 10 liters on the front tank and I have cheked that it is realy empty. My weight is 93kg and the suspension is good for me and my kind of driving. I think the seat is ok for this kind of bike, at least for 8 hours. Im happy whit the bike after 4000km and no issius so far, Thanks for the video, great work.
Hey! I wonder, 495 km before fuel lamp engaged? And second question, the front tank is 12 liters for sure, did you check that both your fuel cranes in front are open? There are one on each side, left and right. When it comes to fuel consumption it could be that you not only weigh more than me, but that you also create more drag due to size? It’s also my thought that it might use more as the engine breaks in just because it’s tighter and needs more power to move things around. (?) Of course this is not a scientific fact. I’m not going to change my seat either, but i will put some silicone pad in it. Glad you enjoyed the video! More to come... 👍
@@rallynor 495 km to the bike stops. Both cranes are open, but on the right side the fuel line below the tank is maybe to musch bent on it and maybe it stops the fuel beacause the fuel lina is almost flat in the bend . Must check it out. In the owners manual the front tank is 11,3 L approximately and the rear 12,8 L. Must test the volume again next time I fuel up and check that the fronttank realy is empty. 500km range is great , you can drive all day long and dont worry about fuel, freedom. I have mounted radegarage storagekit and twinairfilter for easy service ,the sharon exhaust and the radegarage skidplate with toolbox. Now locking for some windprotection. I think your speculations about the fuel consumption is correctly. Thanks for replied.
@@henrikbergbom sounds like you should try and re route that fuel line to see if you could straighten it out a bit. How do you feel about that Radegarage storage kit, does it make more noise? Anyways, I hope you’re satisfied all in all...? Thanks for feedback! 😀👍
@@rallynor Radegarage storage kit is perfect for things u want too always have on the bike for exampel tubes etc. I dont now yet if it make more noise than stock airbox. but probably it is more noise . Radegarage fit enda finish is good and quick delivery.
@@henrikbergbom Which direction are you guys turning the fuel cranes to? The manual says counter clockwise to the end but this way I get only 9 liters out of the tank. If I turn clockwise right to the end I will get 11l out. Confused now a little.
I believe I have the same problem as you do, with the crane closed not lighting the reserve indicator... The bike has been in the workshop for three weeks now and the Husqvarna's dealer not giving me an answer yet... "We are still awaiting for Husqvarna to reply to us regarding this warrant"... I will go tomorrow and show them... they will still charge me the 1000km revision but I did their job...
You’re just being picky 😂 ! Not a big deal to have to watch the odometer and refuel whenever the front one is close to empty. Moreover the rear is a bit large just to be used only as a backup, it kills the whole purpose of having a long range no ?
Great video! I'm shortly getting my 701 enduro so very excited. Do you know how the USB power port has been fixed by the side of the instrument panel? It looks so much better than being mounted on the handlebar? Thanks
There’s a reason for the heavy weight OEM muffler and thats the ability to silence. If you’re looking for a aftermarket silencer for weight saving, there are no muffler who can combine weight and silence. However there’s probably some small difference of Db level on the aftermarket ones.. I don’t know everything about the different brands, but weight, look, sound and in some cases performance is what you’re looking for in an aftermarket silencer. So if noice is the only issue, stick to the OEM.
In your video your saying (writing in fact ;) ) that your light didn't come on due to the cranes not being open. Does that mean now you get a fuel warning light for the front tank? Cause I thoght the front tank, by design. does not have a fuel light. Thanks for the answer
I see now, you’re right about that! After i opened that last fuel crane I had no more issues. The fuel lamp engages on which ever tank you choose. Let’s say you’re running on that front tank, and the fuel lamp comes on, the you switch to the rear tank. Now the lamp turns of. If however I switch back to the front tank again the lamp enlightens. And for the record its the same lamp for both tanks. 🙂
Thanks for your Inspiration you norwegian Guys have such a beautiful environment looking forward to more videos as I am waiting for my 701/ 2021 with additional tanks and fully equipped thks and greetings from Germany
Great video thank you! I’m close to pulling the trigger on one of these. Is that usb standard or the one from the Husqvarna catalogue? I think I’m going to install bar risers and lower foot pegs due to me being 6’4”. Cheers, Mark (Melbourne, Australia).
Thanks for your feedback! The USB is from the parts catalogue. I recommend for you to start with the lowered foot pegs just to see where hour getting with that first. If you then decide to go with the bar risers you should not go higher than 20mm. It will only corrupt the bikes natural steering abilities.
