Briggs don't build them like they use too. Never understood why they never went to Kevlar or plastic tanks for the small engines. Would of prevented rust and the powder coat troubles.
The gas made some cool wave patterns against the edge of that plastic container. You wouldn't notice them with water, but they show up with that dark liquid.
Good video Tom but i am just wondering if that is charcoal in the fuel tank from the new EPA charcoal filled fuel caps that is in the tank, Since the entire tank is electrically charged and heated during the powder coating operation then even if the top of the tank was not taped off then the powder coating would be adhered to the metal versus loose. Here in Canada we have had this issue on a few of the newer machines so far. Let me know what you think?
Just a guess but if the needle doesn't shut off the gas flow into the carb, the gas will just keep flowing into it, and eventually go into the engine block. It sometimes happens on tractor engines with gravity feed carbs. They tell you to check your oil before every use to make sure you don't run it with the oil full of gasoline & possibly burn up the bearings.
