I love watching you brother. My dad is deep into a battle with leukemia and I've been here in rural NC doing what I can for my parents. My therapy, a large part of it, has been axe work and chainsaw work on the land, and I can't say how much these videos have both taught me and calmed and down. Keep doing your thing friend!!
Still my daily saw. I bought two 12 years ago and I’ve used the xpg as my main saw most days ever since. It’s been so reliable the other one has never been out the box. Great saw.
Merry Christmas from the UK to you and yours Buckin', and a huge thank you for the unwavering positivity, honesty and hard work that you display proudly on your channel.
Merry Christmas and thanks for all the knowledge passed along over the years. Also agree with not just hammering the throttle all the way through, seems to keep the bar from clogging and running cooler.
Merry Christmas! I absolutely LOVE that powersaw! I can feel the powerband of that motor every time she gets into her sweet spot! This is how a 2 stroke should run!
I've subscribed to this channel a few months ago, been working my way through the archives ever since. I just stopped by in the Here and Now to wish everybody a Merry Christmas🎄✨🎀 and health and happiness in the New Year. I am so, so glad that this channel hasn't changed and you are still spreading the message of kindness. Been dealing with some issues this past year, both physically and spiritually, and you, Buckin', have helped me stay on course and work my way out of it. Thank you so much for providing a safe and positive place where we can come and relax. Merry Christmas to everyone, be safe, be warm, and be kind ☺️
That’s awesome Hel Ga! It’s a wonderful place to be and it’s fantastic that is helped you through some things in life 🤗 It’s Christmas morning here in the uk so a big very merry Christmas to you and everyone one else 🤗
@@Helga____ thank you buddy :) Yes I’ve been here since the early years. It’s a lovely place to be and you’re welcomed with open arms so feel at home straight away 🤗
A Very Merry Christmas to ya Buckin! Quite the arsenal you got there! Love the Huskys myself. Warm em up, and.... You are the first person I heard say it here on the tube... Cool em down! Especially now in the colder temps. Love and Happiness to All!
Merry Christmas and a Happy and Prosperous New Year to BB, Family, Crew and Fellow Watchers. About 5 months ago I had to buy a New Saw for a milling job and my Husq 362XP just plain wore out (waiting on rebuild parts). I bought the Husq 372XP and have been extremely pleased running 24” and 28” Husq Bars with mostly Husq “X-Cut” Chains, 90 Octane Non-Eth Gas & Husq Full Synth Oil @ 45:1. I tend to “Brrp” the saw in the cut a few times with big wood … especially in Harder Woods (Red Oak, Locust, Maple etc.) … simply to let the chain and cut “Clear”. I never really “Modified” anything …simply because I don’t know what I’m doing. The 362XP is an awesome machine turning out 8 years of incredible results in nasty situations (10+ year cured on the ground 18-24”+ Black & Honey Locust … like sawing a Rock) and more … The 372XP is HARD to think of a Good Enough Compliment for it. It started life Milling 4” x 18”+ x 10’ Ash Planks (25) for Bridging (which, using regular X-Cut Chain maybe wasn’t “Fair” but it just banged out the work) and has been Roaring ever since both Felling and Bucking. I never thought I’d consider my 362XP “Just a Back-up” but … once I get done rebuilding it … it might get relegated to a 16 or 24 Bar and be mostly for Limbing on the Ground. Da …. Errr … Durn Good Saws!!!
Buckin. Merry Christmas to you and Wendy. Coffee and buckin in the morning, couldn’t get much better. Thank you for all the teachings and positive words of encouragement you give out on a daily basis. Enjoy your day with family and friends. Love to everyone❤
I couldn't agree more with the statement on its the user I've had stock saw unbranded (Chinese knock off ) first saw and it's lasted me 10 years and still going strong. Respect your tools it's your craft!🏴👍
super dream saw you got there buckin, very nice job from ironhorse, it is my best saw for me too, but not ported now, just did a transfer job and delete gasket + pipe, cant wait to get my 266se rebuilded in 272 ported to feel the difference of perf
The stihl 461 has always been my favorite go to power saw! I ran the same saw for years and never had a problem with felling stalks full trees or flush cuts like when I say flush I mean like literally less than an inch high from the ground
I live in New Jersey and we have what we call monster trees lol but compared to what you all are felling and bucking it makes our trees look like saplings 😂😂😂😂 I never got my saw ported or an exhaust upgrade or anything like that but after seeing Bucking Billy Ray with his power saws I regret not doing it to mine 😞😞😞
I had quit the tree service I was working for something bucking said they was taking the fun out of my work best advice ever!!! I enjoy making my living with a power saw bucking fire wood etc
your videos are great started watching couple months ago because i seen 372 in a title i bought one in 2008 and have thanked the guy at the store many times for talking me out of what saw i went there to buy gonna fab one of those ram pipes for it i am just south of buffalo ny waiting out the blizzard good time to play in the shop i cut yearly just to keep my butt warm probably 15 to 20 cord per year i am same age as you and i learned alot of cool tips from your vids the ones with wedging were awsome did not know you can move trees that far from a piece of plastic merry christmas have a good one
@9:15 it's heart shaped ❤ cause it was done with love! Billy I gotta admit 1st time i saw one of your videos i thought u were "hot dogging" it. I didn't realize it at the time that what I was actually witnessing was, a man and his machine in tune, with one another, like nothing else! It truly is poetry in motion! Amazing stuff. Life is beautiful and right there for us to enjoy it
That was an awesome video! Very relaxing and enjoyable! I worked over Christmas and was looking forward to watching your videos!👍🏻👍🏻Merry Christmas Buckin! To you and your family!🤗🤗
It's all in the chain. I'd like to see a detailed in depth video on how you square grind your chain. I just found a salmon stone couldn't find blue. Well see how it works. Merry Christmas.
I would love to hear that ram horn everyday lol. I wish you all had a video on how it was made. Or better yet sold them. But love your videos. They make me just want to go be in the woods with a saw! 🙏🏽
Chainsaws are great tools, great fun but can be a rabbit hole. You might end up with more than just 1...just giving you the heads up. I stopped counting at around 20 pro saws.
Merry Christmas Billy ! I Spoke with a fellow the other day on FB from a stihl group that posted his work shop, had a mint Husqvarna 8’ banner from back in the day when the 371xp first hit the market and the sales price on the banner was $365.00 American ! 🤯 lol I tried to purchase this but no dice, I wanted to send it your way as a gift but he didn’t want to get off it, you do so much big fella and wanted to give back a bit. I’ve cut for a living all my life but I stayed away from certain cuts just because I always had big machines to handle em, anyways I did a small clearing job a couple weeks back and I had a 90’ poplar, crooked stump and leaning way back towards the house, only had one way to send it and that was up hill across the drive ( narrow shot ) anyways the low side was so steep for the small machine I had ( didn’t wanna crush my money maker ) I payed close attention to your back cut first/ banging the wedges videos and applied what you showed me , happy to say I went back cut first, slipped in my wedges, Got em right and made My face cut, banged away and she went exactly wear I aimed .. sir I just want to say you’ve inspired and giving me the confidence to make cuts I would never do and just use a 40,000 lb how to handle, I’m a 43 year old dog learning new tricks. 25 years making a living clearing land and I can tell you I’ve never walked into a track feeling more confident than I do now and that’s thanks to you sir. Hats off to ya and all the love and proactive vibrations from down here in North Carolina, have a happy new year and we’ll catch ya on the flip side 🤙🏻
Man I'm telling you that 372 eats! I really enjoy your videos. I have a stihl MS462CM. My dad was a logger but got his career cut short when a great big oak split and took him down with it and crushed his arm. I'm legally blind Billy, but I run chainsaws lol and love it. Merry Christmas!
I only wish I could get my 372 done like that. It’s on third overhaul... was a thunder saw from PowelRiver...last overhauled at my courtenay local... that saw flat out rocks... keep up the great content Buckin...all the best to you and yours. Merry Christmas 🎄
Quite the arsenal of saws you've got going on ,,,,MERRY CHRISTMAS BUDDY BEST WISHES TO YOU AND YOUR FAMILY STAY SAFE,,,GET MOMMA BUCKIN SINGIN SOME CHRISTMAS TUNES
First off merry Christmas to your family from ours, and secondly I run all my 2 stroke engines the same way as you. I find with a 2 stroke you got to be on and off the gas as they are working, I call it letting them breath once in a while. I have never cooked a 2 stroke this way.
Great video sir....oil in a 2 cycle motor does act as a coolant as well as the fuel... and if there is no oil or not enough that's how you will potentially roast your saw happy new year
Wow learned something… you put the tip of the chain in first… where I just usually go strait to the back end and sink the dogs in. Gonna give that a try!
Dang Skippy. I've been running the same 372xp since 2000. Merry Christmas hope everyone is staying warm. Made it through this storm with 2 busted furnaces and only one busted water line... just lucky it wasn't worse. Buckin make sure you go give momma buckin a big hug I lost my mom last January and it's still a big hole. Love ya guys stay buckin
@@alittlebitofeverything5090 yeppers. About 45 minutes south of Cleveland. Got down to -6 with -25to-30 wind chill. But that pipe didn't freeze till the Temps got back above 0 lmao
@@mikemitchell9157 Wowza that's a little cold! I have a Jonsered 2188 that I'm thinking of selling. I bought it because it was the biggest saw they had at the time. Only bought it because I like toys lol. I'm just a hobby guy. Any idea what I should ask for it? Literally like new.
@@alittlebitofeverything5090 the best way to figure that out is to Google prices on it. This year I looked at the new 572 and seen a $1300 price tag I started looking for rebuild kits for when mine dies. So yeah I couldn't tell ya the price
