Make sure you get an extra deck idler tension spring cause they break,you can find a spring that works at tractor supply or a used trampoline spring in a pinch.
@@jdirty3460 yeah a trampoline spring works best.. Even with better spring the spring clips will wear and break too..i consider these parts normal wear and tear and replace them all regularly along with pump belt.I got 460 hours on mine and on 3rd spring,2nd set spring clips,and third pump belt not cause it broke but was cracked and didn't want to deal with any down time since I use it every day.
Bagging is a PITA. Check out the mulch kit... Makes the mower more maneuverable, leaves almost no clippings, naturally fertilizes, and no bags to empty.
Had a mulch kit, got tired of tracking the wet grass back into the house on my shoes after walking the dog. This works better for me. Thanks for the comment though.
Thanks for watching. They are good mowers. My brother bought the 60" with the kawasaki engine after trying mine. Maybe the kawa is more efficient, but in comparision my kohler version uses much more gas than my old ride on mower. Not really a complaint just what I have observed and figured worth noting in my review.
It sucks to empty. Flip the lit up too more than half and you'll have to realign the chute tube to the deck. I disassemble the chute everytime I empty to lift lid 100% open.
Brian Richard I've got a 2013 raptor sd with the kawi. I went 2 years without the flex forks and with the standard seat and was very pleased with the mower. I upgraded the front forks to flex forks for $295? I think. If you got a good dealer they will throw em on for free. It makes your mower feel like a cadillac. The steering and all around operating feels smoother and the cut quality increases slightly. And ofcorse the ride smooths out and your legs and back will thank you. A year later I bought a $500 Michigan suspension seat (amazon) and that really put the comfort over the top. I got the bagger too, If you put 2 gator blades with no drop that match up with that super high lift blade that comes with the bagger on the discharge side you will destroy leaves in half the time. Just Amazon search raptor sd gator blades and you should find em. I've always loved this mower but it mows and handles way better then it did before these upgrades. You don't know what you NEED till you got it! 🤣
