I miss my childhood Bichon so much. He had such a sweet and loving personality. He always got the teddy bear type of hair cut, we thought it was way cuter then the traditional cotton ball head
This past week my family had to put down our bichon poodle mix. I was his unofficial groomer and it was trial and error some haircuts looked better then others. Thank you for this video! It reminds me how after he was groomed he always did laps around the house and felt like a new man.

I had a Bichon that we found in an apartment which has been vacant for nearly 2 weeks. The previous owners left him in a cage and he was in ROUGH shape when we found him but we nurtured him back to health and he was the most amazing kind loving friend I have ever known. He passed about 6 years ago and I still think of him and miss him daily. RIP buddy mommy loves and misses u oodles and oodles of noodles and poodles!!
I started grooming my Bichon the past few months, and learning every time I do it. The way you blended the ears is amazing. Grooming Bichon’s is difficult for someone that’s never done grooming before. Do you have any tips/suggestions for a rookie?
You need to cut more of the hair on the head because then if you leave it how you did it will get matted easier, but other then that you are literally a miracle worker! 😊❤
I had a bichon named Buster, he lived to 17 years old...best dog I've ever had and i still miss him every day 🥺❤❤❤ You did a beautiful job, by the way!! 😊
I had a Bichon; didn't know what it was at the time, in '83. My dad opened the front door one morning with a dog curled-up in the corner, she got up, walked in as if she said, "I'm home." Second groomer she was taken to asked us: Do you know what kind of dog you have here?" "No, some kind a poodle?" "No, you have a Bichon", the groomer said, "it's like a 3, 400 dollar dog."
That's a gorgeous animal. So very chill and majestic. Any type of breed you'd prefer to not have to groom but you do it anyway cause you're the sauce, boss!!?
I have a 14 year old bichon that I’ve always groomed myself and I can say from experience- at least it looks like this one was combed and brushed regularly!! Your cut is amazing!
Wow! I would be terrified to bring scissors so close to a dog's eyes, but you've got a steady hand and nerves of steel! The dog held so still, too, like it knew exactly what was happening. ❤
Do you have any tips for blow drying a dogger's face all fluffy like when they very much despise it? All of yours look so calm. I love when they actually let me do it but I feel so guilty about the ones who look like they're having a panic attack 😂 Anyway, beautiful Bichon!
I've gotten a lottt of these so I'll probably make a video on it but I think desensitizing and using a stand dryer so it's not directly blowing on their face is super helpful! My mom and dad have a teddy bear poo, I shorten to teddypoo (bichon × shih tzu) x mini poodle, and before this dog, I wasn't a fan of "frou frou" dogs, but he has such a wild personality, but still so sweet, he warmed my heart towards them. He's 11 now, and from a standstill he'll launch himself into his bed from like 5 feet away. Their other dog, a Maltese x pom mix is so odd too, but she's sweet as well.
