my york rtu unit is in heat mode and giving a HS1 limit switch error on the smart simplicity control. I've checked the high limit switch and it seems fine. The manual for the control says the LS1 has tripped 3 times within an hour. This results in the HS1 LIMIT SWITCH LOCKOUT. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.
It's really hard to tell Without being there. But have you put your gages on the unit? If memory serves correctly LS1 is a low pressure safety. I'm guessing you're trying to make the heat pump work properly maybe ? I would see if it has refrigerant in it they often times blow their charges. But if it has a gas valve in it then I don't even know if that safety has to do with the heat. But if I'm honest york units are a units that I need to like re- dig into every time. I do Work on all kinds of different rooftop units but because my workscope is so broad I very rarely work on the same thing so it's not like I would have all the safeties memorized to the York's. Anyway I hope that points you in some kind of direction sorry I can't be of more assistance.
Question: I have 5 York units and just one of them, switch from Cooling to fan only right after 5 minutes of running. Any Idea what could be? Cause I don’t think a that is normal, does it?
Sometimes it's the economers. It has like an ambient lockout , so if it's in a range of like seventy degrees or sixty five , it'll go to fan only if the economizer is set up that way. I would check the economizer
Hi, I have this same control on a york rtu. It's giving a excessive supply temp error and turns off heating cycle. The belt is ok. Is there an option to increase the fan speed in heating mode? Thanks
Yes , If it has a vfd you can go under the heating settings (HGT) I believe. But most of the time it is set too 99% already. If you find that it's already set to 99%, then I would check to make sure the board is given the correct voltage to the vfd. Hope that helps:)
@@mark.r8900 If everything seems fine, Then I would put it in a heat mode. Let it run and watch it for a little bit if everything seems fine it might be a sensor it's hard without me actually being there. Hope that helps
@@mark.r8900 sometimes the sheaves are adjustable. Just reduce the drive to driven ratio but do so carefully as you can change the balance of your system.
Sorry I would really have to Be there and see what's going on. But if it were me I would Check The Voltage coming into the unit and whether or not any fuses are blown. Then I would check the transformer in the unit. Then I would just trace out voltages and try to see if I can find any irregularities anywhere. Good luck :)
@@gendronhvac-r1269 thanks for replying bro i got it up running but now its givin me C1 SHUTDOWN DUE TO COIL FREEZE AND C2 LOCKED OUT DUE TO LOW PRESSURE SWITCH it was 8 at night i told him id go back tomorow evening im thinking it may be the board??
@Fred Baldovinos For compressor one I would check the sensor and make sure that it is not reading wrong. For compressor 2 would check if there is refrigerant in the System and if the Pressure transducer is connected correctly. I have found systems that have said low Refrigerant or high discharge and the Pressure transducer was Just disconnected. Anyway good luck !
@@FredBaldovinosi have the same error on one of my units. I checked fuses and transformers and they are all good. I even wired transformer straight to 24v for outputs terminal.
When you have to do this non-stop countless rooftop units it's not a simple board it's not simplicity it's garbage. Not to mention the wiring harness is Right smack dab in front of the display and everything else. And there's no slack it's all taught where you can't move any of it York sucks. The engineers that you are should be ashamed of themselves. These guys have gone to college to put out a garbage product like this ?
