Part two of the transfer port job. It cam in as a 4mm hole so it was machined out then had a plug fitted. The new size is .118"back to the original. It may need resizing again
it depends on what rifle your using. you can go by reading the books with the data in. or just try which works best for you. what feels the nicest when you shoot

by choosing the right port diameterhole ,,you want two things ,air must go fast in the barrel where it can drive the pellet, and that makes people thinking a large hole is the best ,and that it is (if you want 60 cc in case of a airgun wirh 60cm3 volume cold air in to the barrel), But a spring piston rifle generates a lot of heat ,and that wil expand the air and you get more volume to go into the barrel .and you get that by the smaller transferport. so ther`s only a compromis possible , a short as possible port and a small hole is the best, maybe a port not bored complete tru to the larger diameter.
i think that depends on the power of the spring inside a lot ,a weak spring will like a litllebit larger hole ,cause it wil not heat the air up to create more volume ,and heated air is also thinner and will flow better tru the smaller hole when a fast strong spring is used
