Ok, I have now checked with the Britseals boys and the Britseal HW97 Breech seal should have the rounded edge facing outwards, so I did indeed put the seal in the wrong way round, but, I have now corrected this and the seal is now the right way round. I did say in the vid that I was not sure, should have checked before installing, oh well. You live and learn eh....😄😄😄
Thank you for you video , even the seal . In the wrong way , and more importantly admitting it so we do not do the same , respect and , again thank you
Well done sir👏🏻 the anti finger chopper device is a great idea! Saves stripping the whole rifle apart, i recently taught my 13 year old son to load my 83 hw77 safely ,now he has the strength to cock it, something that never even entered my mind when i was a kid loading it😳😂
Thanks for the video that was class my friend 👍👌🤘 after reading your replies I will have to watch your video again.. round side in first.. thats what the Mrs says. Now thats easy to remember Eh ❤❤❤ 🤘👌👍
Ok, that's exactly what I would have suggest too, but I did already. 😄 My god, 3 month and I don't remember that I've already watched and commented this video.
So, much ado about nothing: from what I've seen, the old seal was good enough to be kept - you just had to clean it and to put some grease on it and to put it back into the breech.
I've had this gun about 12 years and the seal had never been changed and was a bit harder than the new one that went it, so presumably got a bit brittle with age.
