I mean there was no way a control mage with this much utility would never be used in pro play. I'm surprised it didn't pop in LPL they would go ham i wish to see a Knight Hwei.
I don't think so..the champ might just have too much utility - you see him as a support in the LCK a lot? but as a mid laner? no eastern Ahri would play this passively, laning on Hwei would probably be miserable and to hit your ults and range skill shots you basically need a whole draft around the pick... even if you get all you wanted, is it really better value than just blinding orianna B1? I'd argue compared to other control mages Hwei needs more draft set-up, has less damage and scaling, is more complicated, easier to punish early and less capable of immediately punishing small positional mistakes - she provides more utility in drawn out engagements and chase downs and fits poke comps better
He does have utility, but he doesn’t have a dash, and that have always been a problem in pro play, because they punish that kind of thing. ( See Vitality vs SK with Yone matchup, Hwei gets bullied when his flash in on cooldown or his botlane gets dove).
@@qwormuli77 Yeah like playing the champion properly. Adcs are immobile, doesn't mean they're not played. On a longer lane and much divable one. It's a bad argument. The argument is what do you bring as a control mage in midlane to your team in comparison to lane safety if you bring more to the table than another mage it should be picked even if the trade of is getting ganked sometimes in the first 10 minutes. Neeko is Immobile Orianna is Immobile, Ryze, twisted fate, cassiopea... None of these champ ever spent a season out of pro play. Except neeko. So it is a bad argument.
one problem i saw many hwei does it, when the enemy is more than midlife and CC so many tend to go QW because he's CC so extra damage BUT actually the QQ does more damage when the enemy is not below midlife
I know with so many abilities you can get confused on which is best but I usually try EW unless I'm stopping a dash. It makes people stop doing damage to avoid it or they get chunked. Only time I EE is early game to force someone into my QE or if teamfight happens and enemies are grouped enough I can push them together for a guaranteed ult and QE for multiple passive procs.
Wdym hard to get a bad match up?! Every time you pick him, enemy instalocks lb or fizz or ekko and you can't play the game midgame because to land anything you need them to f up
@@eugeniusmorar Just QE the wave on repeat until you have a lead. If they match your push, they'll run out of mana first. They're all super predictable in their engage, so just EW yourself or EQ them and walk away. You're not going to be able to kill them easily, but you can weaken them enough to zone CS and XP.
More pro play videos from stream! also rito will nerf the Hwei qw range for sure or they will change it radius of damage(hitbox) else this champ needs frontline to stay behind with its range, otherwise it has no sense to pick tbh
Azzapp is not in pro play. LCS is competitive league played in North America and Worlds is like world cup of football, every other league gives limited number of teams and they play to win
Worlds = world championship, a once a year tourney, lcs = league champion series, a North American regular season tournament, these are not ranked, you need to be employed in a team to play in them. It's premade 5v5 w/ support staff. Ranked is queue in with random 4 other team mates. Challenger is the 'top' rank in ranked, worlds/lcs could be considered "Above" these as you need to prove yourself a good player AND be picked up by a team. Azzapp is not a pro player, but a decently ranked ranked player.
the thing he's watching is LEC (league european championship) Worlds is the tournament where the best regional teams go to play at the end of the year Azzapp is not a pro player
because a silver support would never go ward in the jungle. and the rell was thinking of Q flashing but decided against it, I don't think either of them are nearly as bad as you think
@eVill420 a human would walk up through jg instead of through river. Rell qed in place then missed w, full engaging when his laner was already away and safe. That should be the end of his career. I see either of those plays in my game, I'm open.
@@colinabbott1234 and that is why you are in silver. he was in the brush. why? to bait the fight. Why did he Q air? he thought of doing Q+Flash but realized it wasn't gonna work and well you can't cancel Q. no his teammate wasn't safe Xin Zhao has flash, he would get flashed on and die. He missed W? how about the enemy dodged it. Get good, garbage.
@eVill420 yeah hwei was half hp with flash still up walking into river when his Rell finally decided to engage (and miss), also xin already used his e so he can't even do a flash play, but nice try bro. Also, I'm not silver, but it's starting to sound like you are by how much ur dickriding some dogwater pro players' disgustingly bad performances. I get that they may be playing better than you tend to perform in games and ur confused why I'd flame them but trust me when I say they trolled and should be excised from professional play for good.
it's literally 47% winrate and also lost embarrassingly in another pro game, if it gets nerfed they're trolling. actually I'd expect them to give it one more buff
