HWF Surrey Reserve Eagles nest close up of eaglet Kova’s Glottis (hole in an eagles tongue )  

Was on the cams and got a great zoom of the glottis in use , credit to member Sandy for the information about the Glottis - it is part of the respiratory system , by pushing food into the back of the esophagus past the glottis the eagle can eat large chucks without choking
