Particularly when it’s doing a bad version of a skill you know well. You have to fight every instinct you’ve honed, do what you’ve been trained out of doing.
That would probably be impossible. Why? Because it needs at least one genderneutral, black, islamic and gay person in it and songs that are made famous by old, white people aren't allowed to be in here. Besides, if Keeping Up Appearances is still broadcasted today, some people would think it is contributing to slavery (as the show is dominated by white people).
Wixirix you hit the nail on the head.. and isn't it surprising...today we have 101 problems with " political correctness" whereas some years ago we were just honest and no one complained!
Yes, in real life, there is no voice dreamier than Particia Routledge. She had the voice of a goddess, utter perfection, totally amazing, I encourage everybody to check out her recordings.
@@antoniomarcos5321 No she is 91 years old I believe! This just shows what a great actress she is though, she has a talent to make her good singing voice sound like someone dragging nails all over the chalkboard xD
She’s so talented, especially with her facial expressions and physical comedy. I love the time when she is at Violet’s cottage and she gets excited about Bunty coming in to the house and she sings “I do believe she’s coming innnnn!” 😂
Clive was such a great actor with his physical expressions (R.I.P). The scene where she is singing on the street and he is showing how embarrassed he is, is priceless!
The funniest thing is that she's actually a really good singer, she used to sing in operas and musicals! She has to act like she can't sing in tune in this show!
@@samspencer582 You're right Otto, she is a really good singer. You have to be really good to mess things up & still sound right & funny at the same time. The great Les Dawson had a similar talent, he was a very good piano player, 🎹 but he could play terribly & make us laugh. 😂
@@pianomies93I don't know the name of the song, what I ment was I love them certain parts of the scene where she's on his back and he Emmet can't handle it , so he lose his 💩lol.
Daniel waugh haha, he meant that the actress playing Hyacinth, Patricia Routledge, is a great singer in real life, so it takes some skill to act like she doesn’t. But I understand why you misunderstood it 😀
Omg, I'm an American living here in the Caribbean I must say that I really do enjoy watching these shows. Dame Catherine is such a talent, love her so much.
I love Hyacint to bits as actor!!! And her husband!!!!!!!..or!! Much love, many kisses, strong health and many years to live same, as you , both worked. In fun. Always your's Ella.
0:16 LOL!! So that's how you earn money. Just stick your hat out and sing like a fool lol 0:55 They shouldn't have cut it off when Richard got Hyacinth's attention. "What is it, Richard?" "Company's here." Wellllll send him in." "It's your sister, Rose" (hits bad note on piano) LOL 0:56-1:03 LOL Hyacinth's funniest singing and dancing moment!
How Clive Swift, Josephine Tewson, David Griffin and others kept a straight face while taping these shows and watching Patricia Routledge do this, I have no idea. I have a feeling they had to do multiple takes.
Patricia Routledge acknowledges the impact Hyacinth has had across the globe but you can sense she does not want Hyacinth to upstage her entire broad range of talent/experience. Fully understood however, this character is up there with some of the greats and decades later the laughs still come. Episode: 'Three Piece Suite".
Does anyone know what year and episode the show is where Emmet is playing the piano and Hyacinth is banging on top of it? I want to see that episode so bad and haven't come across it yet...
